Overview
AccuteX's AL-600SA is a 600 mm (23.6 in) by 400 mm (15.7 in) wire EDM with a 300 mm (11.8 in) Z stroke, the size most general mould and die shops settle on. Its maximum workpiece is 990 x 620 x 295 mm (39.0 x 24.4 x 11.6 in) and 550 kg (1,213 lb).
AccuteX sells three machines with these X and Y travels, and the differences are worth setting out. The AZ-600A has 160 x 160 mm (6.3 x 6.3 in) of U and V travel and cuts tapers to ±32° / H100 mm. The AL-600SA has 100 x 100 mm (3.9 x 3.9 in) and ±21° (H=100), so steep tapers on thick parts are the AZ's territory. Against the AU-6iA, which lists an 800 kg (1,764 lb) workpiece, the AL carries less.
