AccuteX AU-75iA — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the AccuteX AU-75iA that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from AccuteX or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The AccuteX AU-75iA is a 750 mm (29.5 in) by 500 mm (19.7 in) wire EDM rated for a 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) workpiece. Z travel is 300 mm (11.8 in). A one-tonne table on a machine that weighs 4,000 kg (8,818 lb) is the figure that defines it.

AccuteX has two AU machines with these travels, and they are not the same product. The AU-750iA is listed at 800 kg (1,764 lb) of workpiece weight and takes a 16 kg (35 lb) spool; the AU-75iA carries more on the table but takes a 10 kg (22 lb) spool. The workpiece envelopes differ slightly too. Here it is 1,190 x 655 x 295 mm (46.9 x 25.8 x 11.6 in), while the AU-750iA allows 1,190 x 720 x 295 mm (46.9 x 28.3 x 11.6 in). Choose by the heaviest block you expect to load and by how long the machine must run on one spool.

For heavy work the structure matters, and AccuteX says the machine body is designed with finite element analysis. A loaded table at this weight also puts demands on the guides. The page describes ball-retainer linear guides and C1 class ball screws, with every axis compensated by laser interferometer.

The taper figures are those of the mid-size AU models: 100 x 100 mm (3.9 x 3.9 in) of U and V travel and ±21° H=100. The footprint is 3,050 x 3,210 x 2,300 mm (120.1 x 126.4 x 90.6 in). AccuteX's page prints a water capacity for this model that matches the smallest AU machine, so the tank volume is left out here.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Workpiece weight of 1,000 kg (2,205 lb), more than the 800 kg (1,764 lb) listed for the AU-750iA
  • 750 mm (29.5 in) by 500 mm (19.7 in) of travel with a 300 mm (11.8 in) Z stroke
  • Machine body designed with finite element analysis, as AccuteX describes it
  • Ball-retainer linear guides and C1 class ball screws, laser-compensated on each axis
  • Lighter than the AU-750iA: 4,000 kg (8,818 lb) against 4,300 kg (9,480 lb)

Limitations

  • Wire spool is 10 kg (22 lb); the AU-750iA takes 16 kg (35 lb)
  • Maximum workpiece width is 655 mm, narrower than the 720 mm of the AU-750iA envelope
  • Taper capacity is ±21° H=100 with 100 x 100 mm (3.9 x 3.9 in) of U and V travel
  • The page lists no standard or optional accessories

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the table capacity of the AccuteX AU-75iA?

AccuteX lists a maximum workpiece weight of 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) and a maximum workpiece size of 1,190 x 655 x 295 mm (46.9 x 25.8 x 11.6 in). Cutting travel within that is 750 mm (29.5 in) in X, 500 mm (19.7 in) in Y and 300 mm (11.8 in) in Z.

02 Which should I buy, the AU-75iA or the AU-750iA?

They share X, Y and Z travel. The AU-75iA carries 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) with a 10 kg (22 lb) spool and weighs 4,000 kg (8,818 lb). The AU-750iA carries 800 kg (1,764 lb) with a 16 kg (35 lb) spool, weighs 4,300 kg (9,480 lb) and has a 1,240 L water system. Heavier blocks favour the first, longer runs the second.

03 How much floor space does the AU-75iA need?

The listed footprint is 3,050 x 3,210 x 2,300 mm (120.1 x 126.4 x 90.6 in) and the machine weighs 4,000 kg (8,818 lb). Add the weight of the water and of a workpiece of up to 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) when checking the floor.

04 Can programs from other wire EDMs run on the AU-75iA?

AccuteX says the control is designed so that NC code written for several other brands of machine can be used without modification. The controller functions listed include sub programs, mirror, program rotation, axis exchange and dry run, and data comes in by USB, Ethernet or FTP.
