Price estimate
We do not have a price for the YCM NTC-2000LSY that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Sub-spindle plus Y axis on a fast 8" lathe: that is the YCM NTC-2000LSY. The main spindle turns 5,000 rpm on an A2-6 nose, the sub-spindle 6,000 rpm on an A2-5 nose with a 6" chuck, and one 12-station BMT55 power turret works on both.
The sub-spindle rides on a B axis with 650 mm (25.59 in) of travel and a 20 m/min (787.40 ipm) rapid. It comes forward, grips the part while both spindles turn in step, takes it after cut-off and presents the back face to the turret. Its motor is rated 7.5/11 kW (10/15 HP), with a ø55 mm (ø2.17 in) bore and ø45 mm (ø1.77 in) through the draw bar, so second-side work can include real turning cuts and not just a facing pass.
On the main side the motor row gives 18.5/22/30 kW (25/30/40 HP). Turning capacity is ø310 mm (ø12.2 in) by 570 mm (22.44 in), with ø66 mm (ø2.6 in) through the draw bar for bar-fed production. The Y axis covers 90 mm, from +50 to -40, and live tools run at 100~4,000 rpm with 3.57 kgf-m (25.82 lb-ft).
Axis speed keeps cycle times short: 30 m/min (1,181.10 ipm) in X and 36 m/min (1,417.32 ipm) in Z. The slides are boxways with wear-resistant pads on a one-piece 30° slant bed. With no tailstock in the table, long slender shafts are better suited to the NTC-2000LY. This model weighs 6,180 kg (13,624 lb).
