Price estimate
We do not have a price for the YCM NSV106AS that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A 37 kW (50 HP) spindle at 15,000 rpm is standard on the YCM NSV106AS, and that alone separates it from every other 40-taper machine of its size in YCM's list. The frame is the NSV106 one, with 1,020 mm (40.16 in) of X and 600 mm (23.62 in) of both Y and Z, but nearly every performance row is turned up.
All three axes rapid at 48 m/min (1,890 ipm); the NSV106A reaches that only on X and Y. The table rating is 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) where the NSV106A lists 700 kg (1,543 lb). The standard magazine is a 30-tool disk with a 48-tool chain magazine as the option, and an ATC door is standard.
Power at that speed makes heat, and YCM equips the machine for it. A spindle cooling unit limits thermal deformation of the headstock, and a micro oil-air lubrication system serves the bearings. Chips are the other by-product of 37 kW in aluminium. Here the standard arrangement is dual chip augers plus a chain type chip conveyor, and the 45 mm roller guideways and large-diameter ball screws are, in YCM's words, laid out to maximize chip disposal.
The S model fits a shop that wants to rough and finish structural aluminium or cut steel at high feed on one machine. The table is 1,120 x 650 mm, spindle nose to table is 100~700 mm (3.94~27.56 in), and machine weight is 7,000 kg (15,432 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 37 kW (50 HP) BBT40 spindle at 15,000 rpm as standard
- 48 m/min (1,890 ipm) rapid traverse on X, Y and Z
- Table load of 1,000 kg (2,205 lb)
- Spindle cooling unit and micro oil-air lubrication
- Dual chip augers with a chain type chip conveyor
- 30-tool disk magazine as standard, 48-tool chain type optional
Limitations
- BBT40 tools are limited to 6 kg (13.2 lb), which caps cutter size however much power is available
- The table lists no alternative spindle for buyers who want less speed and more low-end torque
- Largest magazine is 48 tools
- 37 kW (50 HP) asks for a matching electrical supply; the page gives no power requirement

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The NSV106AS has a 37 kW (50 HP), 15,000 rpm spindle, 48/48/48 m/min rapids, a 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) table and a 30-tool standard magazine. The NSV106A has 18.5 kW (25 HP) at 12,000 rpm, 48/48/32 m/min, 700 kg (1,543 lb) and 24 tools.
02
YCM lists a spindle cooling unit that decreases thermal deformation on the spindle headstock and a micro oil-air lubrication system that minimizes thermal deformation and prolongs spindle life. The spindle uses ceramic bearings.
03
The maximum table load is 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). The table is 1,120 x 650 mm with T-slots listed as 6 x 18 x 100 mm, and the travels are 1,020 mm (40.16 in) in X and 600 mm (23.62 in) in Y and Z.
04
Dual chip augers and a chain type chip conveyor are fitted. YCM also says the 45 mm roller guideways and large-diameter ball screws on the 3 axes are arranged to maximize chip disposal during processing.
