How much does the YCM DCV2012B cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the YCM DCV2012B that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Smallest of YCM's 50-taper DCV bridge mills, the DCV2012B has 2,000 mm of X travel, 1,200 mm of Y and 762 mm of Z. The table lists a BBT50 spindle at 10,000 rpm with 45 kW, on a machine that weighs 19,000 kg.
Its place in the range is easiest to see beside the DCV2012A. That machine shares the bed and the 2,000 x 1,100 mm table but carries a light, fast BBT40 spindle on linear guideways. The B model changes the vertical axis to a box guideway, induction hardened and ground, to give what YCM calls superb cutting rigidity and a short force flow. X and Y stay on roller type guideways. Z travel is 762 mm against 600 mm on the DCV2012A, and tools may weigh 20 kg.
The spindle is an isolated direct drive unit. A direct-drive 50-taper spindle running to 10,000 rpm covers roughing with large cutters and finishing with small ones without a gear change, which fits mold shops that cut P20 and tool steel blocks from solid.
Table load is 4,000 kg, modest for the frame, so the machine is for mid-size blocks and plates, not for the heaviest dies. There are 1,340 mm between the columns. Rapid traverse is 20 m/min in X and Y and 15 m/min in Z. The standard magazine has 32 pockets, with 40 or 60 optional, and a tool can be ø240 x 350 mm when the adjacent pockets are empty.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- BBT50 isolated direct drive spindle at 10,000 rpm
- Box guideway on Z, induction hardened and precision ground
- Tools up to 20 kg and ø240 x 350 mm without adjacent tools
- 762 mm of Z travel under the bridge
- 32-tool magazine with 40 or 60 optional
Limitations
- Table load is 4,000 kg, low for a bridge mill
- Y travel is 1,200 mm with 1,340 mm between columns
- Z rapid is 15 m/min, slower than X and Y
- YCM's feature text and the spec table give different spindle power figures, so confirm the motor rating

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table lists a BBT50 spindle at 10,000 rpm with 45 kW. YCM describes it as an isolated direct drive design with low vibration and good heat isolation. The feature text quotes a different motor power, so ask YCM which rating applies.
02
X travel is 2,000 mm, Y travel 1,200 mm and Z travel 762 mm. Spindle nose to table is 200~962 mm (7.87~37.87 in). The table is 2,000 x 1,100 mm and the distance between columns is 1,340 mm.
03
Roller type guideways on the X and Y axes and a box guideway on Z. YCM says the Z box guideway is reinforced through induction hardening and precision ground, and that direct drive motors on the 3 axes reduce backlash.
04
4,000 kg, on a table with T-slots listed as 7 x 22 x 150 mm. The work table is ground before assembly. The next model up, the DCV3016B, carries 10,000 kg on a 3,260 x 1,500 mm table.
