Overview
The Vision Wide MS-4120 has a 4,000x1,800 mm (157.5x70.9 in) table rated for 12,000 kg (26,455 lb), with 4,100 mm (161.4 in) of X travel and 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of Y. It is the largest MS that lists the linear way spindle options in its table.
Two items on the option list go further than the equivalent machining center's. XYZ axis linear scale feedback is one: on a four-metre X axis it removes the effect of ball screw temperature on position. A rotary table is the other. Mounted on the main table, it lets a part be indexed and milled on several faces, which on a machine without a tool changer is the more useful kind of automation.
The spindle rows read as on the rest of the wide frame. The box way head carries the 2-step gear spindle, 6,000 rpm as standard and 4,000 rpm as an option. The linear way head is listed with direct-driven spindles at 10,000 rpm and 12,000 rpm and a built-in spindle at 10,000 rpm, all optional.
Rapid traverse is X/Y/Z：18/24/15 m/min. Power is 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), with 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) available. Coolant through the spindle at 20/70 bar is optional for the vertical spindle.
