Overview
The Trumpf TruLaser Center 7030 is a 2D fiber laser that cuts, removes and sorts parts in one machine. The working range is 3,000 × 1,500 mm (118 × 59 in) with 120 mm (4.7 in) of Z, and the laser is either a TruFiber 6001 (6,000 W) or a TruFiber 12001 (12,000 W).
Two removal routes are listed, each with its own window of part sizes. SmartGate handles small parts from 30 x 30 mm to 160 x 160 mm. SortMaster Speed takes parts from 90 x 60 mm up to 2,000 x 1,500 mm. Check every part of a nest against those windows before committing a job to the machine: a part longer than 2,000 mm fits the 3,000 mm working range for cutting but lies outside what SortMaster Speed is listed to remove. Trumpf also names additional axes, brush tables and SmartLift as part of the design, and TruTops Boost generates a suggestion for the cutting, removal, sorting and depositing of the parts.
The thickness limits are the same with either laser: 12.7 mm (0.50 in) in mild steel and stainless steel, and 6 mm (0.24 in) in aluminum, copper and brass. Since the TruFiber 12001 adds no thickness over the 6001 here, the reason to choose it is cutting speed. The limits are also much lower than on a conventional machine with the same laser. The TruLaser 5030 with the TruFiber 6001 is listed up to 25 mm (0.98 in) in mild steel, so plate work stays on a machine of that kind.

According to Trumpf, TruTops Boost automatically generates a suggestion for the cutting, removal, sorting and depositing of parts. In practice that means the programmer starts from a proposed sequence for the whole process, including where each part is put down, and adjusts it where needed.
