Price estimate
We do not have a price for the SW BA 721 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The SW BA 721 mounts two HSK-A100 spindles 700 mm (27.6 in) apart over a single work table. Each spindle has 650 mm (25.6 in) of X and Y and 560 mm (22.0 in) of Z.
Think of it as the BA 711 with its X axis divided between two spindles. The big single-table carrier is the same: the 4th axis swings Ø 1,300 x 1,630 mm, far more than the Ø 775 x 1,600 mm of the two-table BA 722. Two large parts, each on a deep fixture, can therefore be cut together.
Both spindle versions of the series are available. The faster one has a 12,500 rpm range with 42 kW at 25% ED and 400 Nm at 20% ED per spindle. The stronger one has a 6,000 rpm range with 52 kW and 615 Nm. With two spindles at 615 Nm in the cut together, clamping force and fixture stiffness need the same attention as the process itself.
A single table means the spindles wait while parts are changed. On work of this size that matters less than it sounds. Cycle times for a truck steering knuckle or a gearbox housing run long, and the part change is a small slice of them. The BA 721 is for exactly that case: big parts, long cycles, two at a time.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two HSK-A100 spindles at a 700 mm (27.6 in) spindle distance
- Ø 1,300 x 1,630 mm interference circle, much larger than on the BA 722
- Up to 615 Nm per spindle at 20% ED with the 6,000 rpm spindle
- 650 mm (25.6 in) of X and Y per spindle
Limitations
- Single work table: no loading while the spindles cut
- The 82 kW spindle listed for the BA 722 is not offered here
- Z travel is 560 mm (22.0 in)
- Ratings are short-term values at 25% and 20% ED

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The BA 721 has one work table and a Ø 1,300 x 1,630 mm interference circle. The BA 722 has two tables, a Ø 775 x 1,600 mm circle, 550 mm (21.7 in) of Z and an additional spindle version with 82 kW at 40% ED. Spindle distance and X and Y travel match.
02
Two HSK-A100 spindles. SW lists a 1-12,500 rpm version with 42 kW at 25% ED and 400 Nm at 20% ED, and a 1-6,000 rpm version with 52 kW at 25% ED and 615 Nm at 20% ED. Values are per spindle.
03
650 mm (25.6 in) in X, 650 mm (25.6 in) in Y and 560 mm (22.0 in) in Z. The spindles are 700 mm (27.6 in) apart, which leaves a margin between the two work spaces for fixture elements.
04
When the parts are tall. The BA 721 space raises Y to 1,175 mm (46.3 in) and Z to 650 mm (25.6 in) and enlarges the interference circle to Ø 1,700 x 1,830 mm, with the same spindles and the same 700 mm (27.6 in) spindle distance.
