Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Sharp 2060TC-F that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
A 20 in (508 mm) swing and 59.05 in between centers define the Sharp 2060TC-F, the middle of the three smaller flat bed CNC lathes Sharp builds around the FANUC Oi-TF control. Its spindle bore is 3.37 in (85.59 mm), a full inch more than the 2.37 in (60.19 mm) of the 1840TC-F.
That bore is the reason to choose it. Bar and tube that will not pass through the smaller machine's spindle can be fed through this one, and the longer bed, 102.2 in against 82.5 in on the 1840TC-F, takes shafts about half as long again. The carriage is unchanged: cross slide travel is 10.63 in (270 mm) and the bed is 14.5 in (368.3 mm) wide, so this is a longer and larger-bored lathe on the same cross-section, not a heavier-duty one.
Power is unchanged too, a Fanuc 10 hp motor. Sharp's overview describes 2 steps of gear speed change covering 40-2,000 rpm, a lower top speed than the smaller model, which suits the bigger diameters. The page disagrees with itself on the spindle nose, naming one camlock size in the overview and another in the table, and its speed row does not match the overview either; both rows are left out of the table here and should be confirmed with Sharp.
Swing over the cross slide is 11 in (279.4 mm). The machine weighs 6,614 lb and measures 10 x 4.58 x 6.08 ft (3.04 x 1.39 x 1.85 m). Standard equipment is sparse by design: full enclosure splash guard, 4-way programmable tool post, electronic handwheels and a chip tray.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3.37 in (85.59 mm) spindle bore for bar and tube work
- 59.05 in between centers on a 102.2 in bed
- Same footprint depth and height as the 1840TC-F: 4.58 ft by 6.08 ft
- Programmable spindle speed with 2 gear steps and automatic change
- Electronic handwheel (MPG) on the X and Z axes for manual operation
Limitations
- Motor is 10 hp, no more than the smaller 1840TC-F
- Sharp's page gives conflicting spindle nose and speed information
- Bed width stays at 14.5 in (368.3 mm) despite the longer bed
- Chucks and the hydraulic tailstock are optional accessories

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Swing rises from 18 in (457.2 mm) on the 1840TC-F to 20 in (508 mm), the distance between centers from 39.4 in to 59.05 in, and the spindle bore from 2.37 in to 3.37 in. Both have a 10 hp Fanuc motor and the same 10.63 in (270 mm) cross slide travel. The 2060TC-F weighs 6,614 lb against 5,732 lb for the 1840TC-F.
02
Sharp's overview states 2 steps gear speed change (40-2,000 rpm) with programmable spindle speed. The specification table on the same page prints a different range, so the figure is not repeated in the table on this page. Ask Sharp for the speed chart of the current build.
03
A manual tailstock with a 2.93 in (74.42 mm) quill, 6.31 in of quill travel and an MT #5 center taper. Two dead centers and a center sleeve are standard accessories. A hydraulic tailstock in lieu of the manual tailstock is listed as an option.
04
A hydraulic tailstock, 3-jaw heavy duty 8" and 10" chucks, a hydraulic 3-jaw 8" chuck and a hydraulic 8 position turret with 4 internal tool holders and 4 external tool wedges. The standard tool carrier is the 4-way programmable tool post.
