How much does the Honor Seiki VL-100MT cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Honor Seiki VL-100MT that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Honor Seiki VL-100MT is the M-configured twin at the top of the series, and it differs from the VL-100AT only slightly, in the turning height row of the table: 900 mm (35.4 in) here against 920 mm (36.2 in) there. Swing is 1,320 mm (52 in), turning diameter 1,100 mm (43.3 in), the chucks are listed at 1,000 mm (40 in), the spindles run 5-850 rpm and tool positions are 12+12.
On the smaller frames an M model gives up a good deal of envelope. The VL-86MT, for example, turns 800 mm (31.5 in) by 700 mm (27.5 in) where the VL-86AT turns 860 mm (33.9 in) by 810 mm (31.9 in). At the VL-100 size the turning diameter is not reduced at all and the height hardly changes, so whatever the M configuration adds, it costs almost nothing in capacity here.
What it adds is not stated. The Twin series page has one description for all eight models, about running the same operation on both sides or separate operations in order, and no live spindle row. Ask Honor Seiki to define the M turret before ordering.
The practical limits are the same as on the AT. A manual 4-jaw chuck is standard on each spindle, with a hydraulic chuck and rotary cylinder as an option. Maximum workpiece weight is 1,000 kg (2,205 lb), which suits large light parts such as rings, rims and covers more than solid steel discs.
Coolant through the turret, a coolant tank with bed wash down, a hinge type chip conveyor and spindle orientation are standard. A spindle motor upgrade, a dual speed gearbox, a servo turret, an automatic door and a Siemens controller are options. Power, travels and floor space are not published.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Keeps the full 1,100 mm (43.3 in) turning diameter of the VL-100AT
- 900 mm (35.4 in) turning height, close to the 920 mm (36.2 in) of the VL-100AT
- Two spindles with chucks listed at 1,000 mm (40 in) and 12+12 tool positions
- Spindle orientation and coolant through the turret are standard
- Servo turret and automatic door on the option list
Limitations
- The M configuration is not defined and no live spindle speed is listed
- Manual 4-jaw chucks are standard; hydraulic chucks are an option
- Workpiece weight is limited to 1,000 kg (2,205 lb)
- Spindle speed tops out at 850 rpm

Frequently Asked Questions
01
900 mm (35.4 in), according to the Twin series table. The VL-100AT in the same table is listed at 920 mm (36.2 in). Turning diameter is 1,100 mm (43.3 in) on both.
02
Honor Seiki's page does not say. The table has no live spindle row, the accessory list does not mention driven tools, and the series description is shared by all the AT and MT models. The configuration has to be confirmed with the maker.
03
Each spindle runs 5-850 rpm with a chuck diameter listed at 1,000 mm (40 in). A manual 4-jaw chuck is the standard accessory for the VL-100 size, and a hydraulic chuck and rotary cylinder is optional.
04
The maximum workpiece weight is 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). That is modest for the chuck size, so the machine suits large-diameter parts with thin sections more than solid blanks.
