Overview
The Röders RXU1001DBH is a special-purpose version of the RXU1001DSH, built with a special C-axis for machining BLING wheels on both sides in a single set-up. Its machining range of 800 mm x 855 mm x 500 mm (31.5 x 33.7 x 19.7 in) is the same as the standard 5-axis machine. The rotary-swivel unit is not.
Röders gives the A-axis a swivel range from +45 degrees to -195 degrees. Being able to turn the wheel right over is what allows both faces to be cut without re-clamping, and the maker points to surface finishes without any steps as the result. To keep every pocket reachable in any position of the axes, the second support of the C-axis has been left out on purpose, and the A-axis has been reinforced to make up for it.
The table is 355 mm round with an integrated 4-fold quick clamping system; other tables are on request. Workpiece weight is limited to 300 kg (661 lb), well under the 800 kg of the RXU1001DSH, which follows from the one-sided support.
The standard spindle differs from the rest of the RXU line too. It is a 15 kW (20.1 hp) unit with an HSK E50 interface and a maximum tool diameter of 20 mm, a better match for the slender tools that blade channels need than the HSK A63 standard of the series, although an HSK A63 spindle with 102 Nm (S1) is the largest offered. The changer has 24 places, optionally 40 or more. The machine weighs about 21.0 t and needs W 4,120 mm x L 4,910 mm x H 3,600 mm.
