Röders RPT600 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Röders RPT600 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Röders or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Medium-sized die and mould components are the target of the Röders RPT600. The 3-axis machine has a machining range of 630 mm x 530 mm x 300 mm (24.8 x 20.9 x 11.8 in), a 600 mm x 500 mm (23.6 x 19.7 in) table with 14 mm T-slots and a workpiece limit of 400 kg (882 lb).

Its place in the Röders range is easiest to see next to the RXP500. The two take the same 400 kg, and both start with a 42,000 rpm HSK E40 spindle for tools up to 16 mm. The RPT600 has more travel in every direction, 15 kW (20.1 hp) at the spindle, and feeds up to 60,000 mm/min. More to the point, Röders lists milling, grinding and measuring for it, and offers spindles up to HSK A63.

The RPT series is built around thermal stability. Röders names its PRECITEMP technology for holding precision when workshop temperatures fluctuate and NANOTOL for sub-micrometre precision in the linear axes. It also sets the electrical cabinet apart from the machine, so that electronics are not affected by vibration from machining.

Tools sit in a changer with 42 or 87 places for HSK E40. Clamping can be Erowa UPC, System 3R Dynafix or Parotec Power Grip 160. There is 480 mm (18.9 in) between spindle nose and table. Chips are moved by 2 screws to a box behind the machine, or to an additional conveyor. The working area is covered in stainless steel sheet metal. Weight is about 8.8 t and the required space W 3,000 mm x L 2,700 mm x H 2,690 mm.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 630 mm x 530 mm x 300 mm (24.8 x 20.9 x 11.8 in) machining range, larger than the 600 mm x 500 mm table it covers
  • Milling, grinding and measuring possible, with all lubricants
  • 42,000 rpm, 15 kW (20.1 hp) standard spindle; spindles up to HSK A63 on request
  • 42 or 87 tool places for HSK E40
  • 400 kg (882 lb) workpiece weight

Limitations

  • 300 mm in the third axis of the machining range
  • Standard tool diameter limited to 16 mm
  • About 8.8 t, plus a free-standing electrical cabinet
  • Chip conveyor is additional to the standard chip box

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the machining range of the Röders RPT600?

630 mm x 530 mm x 300 mm (24.8 x 20.9 x 11.8 in). The table measures 600 mm x 500 mm with 14 mm T-slots, and the maximum distance between spindle nose and table is 480 mm (18.9 in).

02 Which spindles can the RPT600 be fitted with?

The standard is 42,000 rpm with 15 kW (20.1 hp) and an HSK E40 interface, for tools up to 16 mm in diameter. Others up to HSK A63 are available on request, and Röders names HSK A63 as the largest interface for this size.

03 Why is the machining range bigger than the table?

Röders matches the machining range of the 3-axis RPT machines to the table size so that the machine can mill the surface of the table itself. A fine finishing cut then gives flatness and parallelism made by the machine's own axes.

04 How does the RPT600 differ from the RPT600DSH?

The RPT600 is the 3-axis machine with a T-slot table and a 400 kg limit. The RPT600DSH adds a rotary-swivel unit with a 250 mm or 350 mm round table, and its machining range is 500 mm x 530 mm x 300 mm.
