Overview

The Pinnacle QV137 offers 1,300 mm (51.2 in) of X, 710 mm (28.0 in) of Y and 610 mm (24.0 in) of Z on box ways, with a 1,500 x 700 mm (59.1 x 27.6 in) table rated for 1,200 kg (2,646 lb). It sits between the QV117 and QV147 and weighs 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).

Think of it as a roughing machine first. The ways are sliding surfaces hardened to over HRC55, the rapids are 20 / 20 / 16 m/min, and the cutting feed limit is 10,000 mm/min. None of that favours high-speed finishing, but it does favour a large cutter held in an ISO50 spindle with a 2,000 kgf draw bar.

That ISO50 spindle is rated 11 / 15 kW (14.8 / 20.1 hp) with a bearing bore of Ø100 mm (Ø3.9 in). Its gear head has ranges of L40 ~ 1500, H1501 ~ 6000 rpm. If the shop also runs small tools, the ISO40 alternative gives 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp) and a gear head of L40 ~ 1750, H1751 ~ 8000 rpm.

Pinnacle lists a 20-tool armless magazine as an option beside the arm-type disk and chain magazines in the table. Supply is 220V, 3Ph, 50 / 60Hz at 30 kVA. The footprint is 3,490 × 3,235 mm (137.4 × 127.4 in) and the height 3,000 mm (118.1 in).
