Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide GSA-4027 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
At 4,000 mm (157.5 in) of X travel, the Vision Wide GSA-4027 is the first GSA to reach the length where the maker adds an X axis ball screw support device, which is listed as standard for axes of 4m and above.
The drive layout of the series explains why. X and Z are each driven by dual ballscrews and Y by a single one. On a gantry the X screws run the full length of the bed, one each side, and at four metres an unsupported screw would sag and whip at the 32 m/min rapid the table lists for X. Supports along the screw hold it straight so that speed stays usable.
Position is measured, not inferred. The X axis has dual linear scales, one per side, and Y and Z have a scale each, all standard. With both X screws driven and measured separately, the control can keep the gantry square to the table along the whole stroke.
The table is 4,000×2,700 mm (157.5×106.3 in), with 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y. Z travel is 1,000 mm, optionally 1,200 mm, at a 20 m/min rapid. The indexing IAC head carries a 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp), 15,000 rpm spindle.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- X axis ball screw support device is standard at this length
- Dual ballscrews on X and Z; dual linear scales on X
- 32 m/min rapid in X and Y on a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) gantry
- 4,000×2,700 mm (157.5×106.3 in) fixed table
Limitations
- Y axis is driven by a single ballscrew
- Z rapid of 20 m/min is slower than X and Y
- Standard Z travel is 1,000 mm

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The X and Z axes are driven by dual ballscrews and the Y axis by a single ballscrew. An X axis ball screw support device is standard for axes of 4m and above, which includes this model's 4,000 mm (157.5 in) X travel.
02
X axis dual linear scale and Y/Z-axis linear scale are on the standard accessory list, so all linear axes are measured directly.
03
32/32/20 m/min for X/Y/Z, so the vertical axis is the slowest of the three. The cutting feed range is 1~20,000 mm/min.
04
The table is 4,000×2,700 mm (157.5×106.3 in). Travels are 4,000 mm (157.5 in) in X, 2,700 mm (106.3 in) in Y and 1,000 mm in Z, with 1,200 mm of Z optional. The shorter GSA-3027 has 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of X.
