Overview

The Pinnacle DV1417 is the shortest of Pinnacle's DV double column machining centers: 1,700 mm (66.9 in) of X, 1,400 mm (55.1 in) of Y and 900 mm (35.4 in) of Z over a 1,700 x 1,200 mm (66.9 x 47.2 in) table. It is the entry to the range for shops that need a bridge machine's Y travel without a long bed.

Being short has one measurable benefit. The DV1417 is the only DV model listed with 20/20/20 m/min rapids; the DV1422 drops to 16/20/20 m/min as the table grows. It is also the lightest at 15,500 kg (34,171 lb), on a floor space of 5,800 x 4,150 mm (228.3 x 163.4 in).

The spindle follows the DV pattern: ISO50, driven through a gear box, 8,000 rpm in the specification table, with a 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp) motor and a 1,800 kgf draw bar.
