Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Pinnacle DU1412 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Pinnacle DU1412 is a 5-axis double column machining center that mills and turns in one setup: a 45° swiveling spindle head works over a Ø1,200 mm (Ø47.2 in) direct-drive rotary table that spins at up to 600 rpm. Linear travels are 2,200 mm (86.6 in) in X and 1,400 mm (55.1 in) in Y, with Z listed as 900 mm (35.4 in) with the head vertical and 800 mm (31.5 in) with it horizontal.
The rotary table is the unusual part. Pinnacle embeds it in a 2,200x1,200 mm (86.6x47.2 in) rectangular table with T-slots, so a long part can be clamped across the whole surface, and supports it on a hydrostatic bearing. The rectangular table takes 5,000 kg (11,023 lb); the rotary table is rated for 3,000 kg (6,614 lb). A curved-teeth clutch at the front end of the spindle fixes it for turning tools, and the taper is HSK T63.
The built-in spindle reaches 15,000 rpm with 19/23 kW (25.5/30.8 hp) and 93/113 Nm (68.6/83.3 lb-ft), continuous and S6 60% ratings. Those are finishing and semi-roughing figures for a machine of this size, better matched to aluminium structures and mould surfaces than to heavy steel roughing. The head tilts from -30° to +180° on a direct-drive A axis at 50 rpm, and both rotary axes carry encoders.
Standard equipment listed for the DU1412 includes a Heidenhain TNC640 controller, kinematic and DCM anti collision software, linear scales on 3 axes, coolant through the ballscrews and a 30T arm type ATC. The table gives magazine capacity as 30(60)/40(80) under a DISK/CHAIN heading, with tools up to 300 mm (11.8 in) long and 8 kg (18 lb). Linear positioning accuracy is listed as 0.005, in millimetres. Pinnacle's table has no rows for machine weight, floor space or power supply, so those have to be requested.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Yes, according to Pinnacle's description. The rotary table is supported by a hydrostatic bearing system and runs at up to 600 rpm, which the maker calls a turning function, and a curved-teeth clutch at the front end of the spindle fixes it for turning operations. The rotary table is Ø1,200 mm (Ø47.2 in) and rated for 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).
02
X is 2,200 mm (86.6 in) and Y is 1,400 mm (55.1 in). Z is listed as 900 mm (35.4 in) with the head vertical and 800 mm (31.5 in) with it horizontal. The spindle nose sits 150~1,050 mm (5.9~41.3 in) above the table, and the door opening is 1,400 mm (55.1 in) wide.
03
The DW1422 on the same page is the three-axis machine of the pair. The DW1422 has an ISO 50 spindle at 8,000 rpm in place of the swiveling HSK T63 head, no rotary table, and a 900 mm (35.4 in) W axis. Both share 2,200 mm (86.6 in) of X, 1,400 mm (55.1 in) of Y and the 2,200x1,200 mm (86.6x47.2 in) table.
