Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Quaser MK3000 (#50) that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
In its heavier spindle class, the Quaser MK3000 (#50) takes HSK-A100 or SK/BT50 tooling on a built-in spindle listed at 10K ~ 15K. The machine around it is a 5-axis travelling column design with linear motors in X and Y, 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of X travel and a 3,300 x 850 mm (129.9 x 33.5 in) table.
Why put a large-taper spindle on a linear motor machine? Because long parts are not always light ones. Steel weldments, titanium frames and die components of this length need a tool interface that holds a big cutter rigidly at the end of a tilting head. An HSK-A100 face contact does that better than a 40-class taper can, and the 10K ~ 15K band still leaves enough speed for finishing.
The head is the B-axis and swivels ±120°. That range lets one tool reach the top and both long sides of a part without re-clamping, and when it is combined with the integrated C-axis rotary table, listed at 360°, the machine can run full 5-axis simultaneous paths. Quaser's text describes that C-axis as optional, with an 800 mm diameter.
The fixed table carries 4,200 kg (9,259 lb). Y and Z travel are each 800 mm (31.5 in). The standard magazine has 30 positions, against 40 on the MK3000 (#40), and that is worth checking against the tool list of a long multi-operation part. Quaser publishes spindle power and torque rows for this model, but without units, so the ratings have to be confirmed directly.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- HSK-A100 or SK/BT50 spindle on a 5-axis travelling column machine
- Swivel head with ±120° of B-axis travel
- 4,200 kg (9,259 lb) table load on a table 3,300 x 850 mm (129.9 x 33.5 in)
- Linear motor drives in X and Y, with 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of X travel
- Spindle band of 10K ~ 15K with built-in transmission
Limitations
- 30 tools as standard, fewer than the 40 of the MK3000 (#40)
- Top speed in the listed band is 15K; the MK3000 (#40) reaches 24K
- The C-axis rotary table is described as optional in Quaser's text
- Power and torque appear on the page without units; tool size limits do not appear at all

Frequently Asked Questions
01
A built-in spindle with an HSK-A100 or SK/BT50 taper and a speed listed as 10K ~ 15K. Quaser's page prints power and torque values for it without units, so they are not repeated here; ask for the S1 and S6 ratings with the quotation.
02
The maximum table load is 4,200 kg (9,259 lb). The table is 3,300 x 850 mm (129.9 x 33.5 in) and stays fixed while the column travels, so the part's weight does not affect axis acceleration.
03
The swivel head spindle is the B-axis with a ±120° range. The integrated rotary table is the C-axis, listed at 360°. Quaser's description calls the C-axis optional and gives its diameter as 800 mm.
04
It depends on the tooling. The MK3000 (#50) uses HSK-A100 or SK/BT50 and is listed at 10K ~ 15K with 30 tools. The MK3000 (#40) uses HSK-A63 or SK/BT40 and is listed at 15K ~ 24K with 40 tools. Travels, table and load are identical.
