DMG Mori DMU 95 monoBLOCK

The DMG Mori DMU 95 monoBLOCK 2nd Generation shares the same travel envelope as the DMU 85 at 950 x 850 x 650 mm (37.4 x 33.5 x 25.6 in) but is configured without the FD (mill-turn) option, focusing purely on milling applications. The table handles workpieces up to 1,040 mm (40.9 in) in diameter and 590 mm (23.2 in) tall, with a 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) table load capacity.

The one-piece monoBLOCK casting provides the same rigid foundation as its siblings, and positioning accuracy comes in at 5 µm as standard. speedMASTER spindles start at 15,000 RPM in SK40/HSK-A63 configuration, with options for 20,000 RPM (130 Nm) or higher. The tool magazine holds 60 pockets standard — double the base offering on most monoBLOCK models — with expansion to 240 positions.

Control options include Siemens Sinumerik ONE and Heidenhain TNC7 under CELOS X. VCS Complete volumetric compensation is available for shops that need the highest accuracy across the full work envelope.

The DMU 95 targets shops that need the mid-large work envelope but do not require the mill-turn capability of the DMU 85 FD. The 1,000 kg table load is lower than the 85 FD but still substantial for most 5-axis milling applications.
