Overview
The Onsrud 627EX is the longest machine in the EX-Series table, at 782 in (19,863 mm). It is a 5-axis extrusion machining center with a 33 hp (24.6 kW) spindle, 24,000 rpm, and a 40 in (1,016 mm) Z-stroke over a 21 x 14 in (533 x 356 mm) work area.
Sixty-five feet of machine is a line, not a cell. It exists for full-length rail, mast, beam and trailer profiles that would otherwise be machined in sections and joined. Because the 5-axis head reaches the ends and sides of the profile, end milling, mitres, holes and pockets are finished in the one clamping.
