Matec FUV190T — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Matec FUV190T that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Matec or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

With 1,900 mm (74.8 in) of X travel, the Matec FUV190T is the longer of MATEC's two travelling column 5-axis machining centres. The extra length goes entirely into the rigid table, which measures 900 x 500 mm and is rated for 1,600 kg (3,527 lb). Y and Z stay at 540 mm (21.3 in) and 460 mm (18.1 in).

Beside the rigid table sits a swivel turntable: a Ø 650 mm (Ø 25.6 in) face plate, B axis tilt from -50° to +110°, a full 360° in C, and a limit of 300 kg (661 lb) for the workpiece. That split defines how the machine is used. A long 3-axis part can be clamped on the rigid table, or the column can alternate between the two tables in pendulum operation while the operator reloads the idle side.

The cutting side is modest for a machine of 18,000 kg (39,683 lb): 12,000 rpm, 15 kW (20.1 hp), HSK63 or SK40 tooling and 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) rapids. MATEC lists faster HSK63 spindles as options. The standard 48-tool magazine can be replaced by one with 60 or 120 pockets, and it is fed from outside the work area.

On the floor the FUV190T needs 4,600 x 2,600 mm and 3,000 mm (118.1 in) of height. T-slots are 18 H7. The standard control is the HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 HSCI in a fully interpolable 5-axis version, and SIEMENS ONE is the listed alternative.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 1,900 mm (74.8 in) of X travel with a 900 x 500 mm rigid table
  • Rigid table rated for 1,600 kg (3,527 lb)
  • Swivel turntable with Ø 650 mm (Ø 25.6 in) face plate for full 5-axis work on the same machine
  • Machine width of only 2,600 mm (102.4 in)
  • Standard HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 HSCI control in a fully interpolable 5-axis version

Limitations

  • The swivel table carries only 300 kg (661 lb), no more than on the shorter FUV170T
  • Spindle power is 15 kW (20.1 hp) and no torque figure is published
  • Z travel of 460 mm (18.1 in) limits part height on both tables
  • Rapid traverse of 30 m/min (1,181 ipm) over a 1,900 mm (74.8 in) axis
06

Best For

Long profiles, rails and plates up to 1,900 mm (74.8 in) Pendulum operation between the rigid table and the swivel table 5-axis parts under 300 kg (661 lb) in a shop that also machines long 3-axis work

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How long a part can the FUV190T machine?

X travel is 1,900 mm (74.8 in), with 540 mm (21.3 in) in Y and 460 mm (18.1 in) in Z. The rigid table measures 900 x 500 mm and carries 1,600 kg (3,527 lb). MATEC describes 3-axis machining of long components as one of the intended uses, alongside 5-axis work on the swivel table.

02 What can the swivel table of the FUV190T do?

It has a face plate of Ø 650 mm (Ø 25.6 in), tilts from -50° to +110° in the B axis and turns a full 360° in C. MATEC rates it for workpieces up to a total weight of 300 kg (661 lb). Direct rotation encoders are fitted, and simultaneous 5-axis machining is possible.

03 When does the FUV190T make more sense than the FUV170T?

When the 3-axis side of the work needs it. The FUV170T has 1,700 mm of X travel and a 700 x 500 mm rigid table for 1,200 kg. The FUV190T adds length: 1,900 mm of X, a 900 x 500 mm table and 1,600 kg. The 5-axis side, spindle and magazine do not change, and the FUV170T is 4,400 mm long against 4,600 mm.

04 What control and feedback systems are standard on the FUV190T?

The HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 HSCI with an HR 510 handwheel, glass scales in all linear axes, direct encoders in the rotation axes and temperature compensation are on the standard equipment list. SIEMENS ONE is the optional control, and a touch probe, laser tool measurement and a roof for the enclosure are options.
