Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD ToolCell 220/30 PLUS that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
PLUS, in LVD's ToolCell table, means a taller opening and a stronger table. The LVD ToolCell 220/30 PLUS has the 2,200 kN and 3,050 mm (120.1 in) of the standard machine, but lists 570-670 mm (22.4-26.4 in) between table and ram and a table 200 mm (7.9 in) wide rated at 2,500 kN/m.
Those three numbers are the whole difference. The ToolCell 220/30 has 500-600 mm of open height and a 120 mm table rated at 2,000 kN/m. Stroke is 300-400 mm (11.8-15.7 in) on both, as are the 4,000 mm (157.5 in) between uprights, the 37 kW motor, the 350 L tank and the speeds. The PLUS weighs 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) against 24,500 kg for the ToolCell 220/30.
Why pay for it? Open height decides how deep a box or channel can be formed and still be lifted off the punch, and how tall a tool set fits. A wider table with a higher load rating suits wide dies, the kind used for thick plate. A shop that bends deep profiles or heavy sections on a three-metre line gets both.
One caution. LVD's note about two sets of punch and die heights, standard and taller, refers to the standard ToolCell; the page does not say which heights the PLUS warehouse holds, so ask before ordering tools.
The automation is unchanged: grippers in the backgauge fingers change top and bottom tools from the integrated warehouse, and Easy-Form Laser corrects the angle during the bend.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 570-670 mm (22.4-26.4 in) between table and ram, where the ToolCell 220/30 lists 500-600 mm
- 200 mm (7.9 in) table rated at 2,500 kN/m
- 25,000 kg (55,115 lb), close to the 24,500 kg of the ToolCell 220/30
- Automatic tool changer, Easy-Form Laser and 6-axis backgauge as on every ToolCell
- Ram returns at 200 mm/s after each bend
Limitations
- Stroke stays at 300-400 mm (11.8-15.7 in); only the open height grows
- Working length is 3,050 mm; the four-metre PLUS is a separate model
- LVD's choice of standard or taller tool sets is described for the standard ToolCell only
- 25,000 kg (55,115 lb) installed weight

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Against the ToolCell 220/30 it has an open height of 570-670 mm in place of 500-600 mm, a table 200 mm wide in place of 120 mm, and a table load of 2,500 kN/m in place of 2,000 kN/m. Force, working length, stroke, speeds, motor and oil tank are the same in LVD's table.
02
No. The table lists 300-400 mm (11.8-15.7 in) for the ToolCell 220/30 PLUS, the same as the standard models. LVD offers an increase in stroke and table-to-ram distance of up to 100 mm as an option across the ToolCell line.
03
25,000 kg (55,115 lb). The frame has the same 4,000 mm (157.5 in) between uprights as the standard three-metre machines, and LVD says every ToolCell has a one-piece welded frame that can be installed at floor level.
04
ToolCell press brakes use LVD dies and W style punches. LVD describes a choice between standard and taller punch and die sets for the standard ToolCell and does not repeat that statement for the PLUS, so the tool heights should be confirmed with the maker.
