Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPED 200/40 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD PPED 200/40 is the middle choice of the three four-metre machines in LVD's PPED range. It has 2,000 kN, a 4,000 mm (157.5 in) working length and the 300 mm (11.8 in) gap that the next size down lacks.
On a long machine the gap earns its keep. The uprights stand 3,150 mm (124.0 in) apart, so every part that uses the whole bed overhangs the frames, and the gap sets how deep its flange may be. LVD gives the PPED 165/40 a gap of 250 mm.
Ram data follow the three-metre version exactly. The PPED 200/30 and this model both list 100 mm/s approach, 9 mm/s working speed, 90 mm/s return, an 18 kW motor and a 350 L tank. Open height is 500 mm (19.7 in) with a 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke.
Above it, the PPED 260/40 is a visibly bigger machine: 300 mm stroke, 670 mm open height, a 250 mm table and a 22 kW motor. This one keeps the 180 mm (7.1 in) table and 970 mm (38.2 in) working height of the smaller frames, which suits operators handling sheet by hand.
Crowning belongs on the order. LVD supplies it as standard on PPED-5 and PPED-7 versions; its job is to cancel the deflection of ram and table, which grows with bed length.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2,000 kN across 4,000 mm (157.5 in)
- 300 mm (11.8 in) gap for full-length parts
- 970 mm (38.2 in) working height for manual sheet handling
- Linear encoders and servo-controlled hydraulics
- Options for front supports, special colour and 60 Hz or special voltage
Limitations
- 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke on a four-metre machine
- Return speed of 90 mm/s lengthens each cycle
- 3,150 mm (124.0 in) between uprights, well short of the bed
- Table 180 mm (7.1 in) wide, against 250 mm on the PPED 260/40

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The PPED 260/40 has 2,600 kN, a 300 mm stroke, 670 mm of open height, a 250 mm table and a 22 kW motor. The 200/40 column lists 2,000 kN, a 200 mm stroke, 500 mm of open height, a 180 mm table and 18 kW. Bed length and gap are the same.
02
No. The clear distance is 3,150 mm (124.0 in). A longer part passes through the 300 mm (11.8 in) gap in each side frame, which limits the depth of flange that can be formed at full length.
03
The Touch-B touch screen control, which positions all available axes, and LVD's CADMAN suite: CADMAN-B for bend programming, CADMAN-SDI for importing drawings and CADMAN-JOB for job tracking and ERP connection.
04
LVD says the hydraulic components are machined in-house from solid steel billet, with hardened steel pistons that are precisely finished and micropolished. The system is servo-controlled.
