Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPED 165/30 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD PPED 165/30 is a 1,650 kN press brake with a 3,050 mm (120.1 in) working length, and in LVD's table it is the liveliest of the three-metre PPED machines.
Approach speed is 110 mm/s. No other 3,050 mm PPED matches it: the PPED 135/30 lists 90 mm/s and the PPED 200/30 lists 100 mm/s. Return is 100 mm/s and working speed 10 mm/s. The motor is 18 kW, fed from a 300 L tank. Where a lot of bends are made on parts of modest thickness, those few millimetres per second across every stroke add up over a shift.
Geometry is unchanged from the PPED 135/30. There are 2,600 mm (102.4 in) between the uprights, a 250 mm (9.8 in) gap, a table 180 mm (7.1 in) wide and 500 mm (19.7 in) from table to ram with 200 mm (7.9 in) of stroke. The step to the PPED 200/30, with 2,000 kN, brings a deeper gap of 300 mm, so the choice upward is about reach as well as force.
LVD builds the PPED on a welded one-piece frame that is stress relieved and machined in one setting. A servo-controlled hydraulic system drives the ram, with linear encoders reporting its position to the Touch-B control. Front supports are an option; so are a special colour and 60 Hz or special-voltage electrics.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 110 mm/s approach, the highest of the 3,050 mm PPED models
- 1,650 kN on a 180 mm (7.1 in) table
- 18 kW motor with a 300 L oil tank
- Servo-controlled hydraulics with linear encoder feedback
- Same bed and frame opening as the PPED 135/30 with more force
Limitations
- Gap stays at 250 mm (9.8 in); the PPED 200/30 offers 300 mm
- Open height of 500 mm (19.7 in) with a 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke
- Table load is 1,000 kN/m, as on every PPED
- Front supports are optional

Frequently Asked Questions
01
LVD's table does not explain it, but the figures are clear: the PPED 135/30 has a 15 kW motor and approaches at 90 mm/s, while this model has an 18 kW motor and approaches at 110 mm/s. Working speed is 10 mm/s on both.
02
Working length is 3,050 mm (120.1 in). Parts longer than the 2,600 mm (102.4 in) between uprights can enter the frames only to the 250 mm (9.8 in) gap. The open height is 500 mm (19.7 in).
03
Yes. The PPED 165/40 has the same 1,650 kN, motor and speeds on a 4,000 mm working length, with 3,150 mm between the uprights.
04
All PPED models use a welded one-piece frame. LVD states that it is machined without repositioning and stress relieved to guarantee the precision of the machine.
