Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPED 135/30 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
With the LVD PPED 135/30 the PPED range reaches the three-metre class: 1,350 kN on a 3,050 mm (120.1 in) working length. It is also where the frame and table get heavier. The table is 180 mm (7.1 in) wide, the gap 250 mm (9.8 in) and the working height 970 mm (38.2 in), all larger than on the PPED 80/25.
It is the first size to which LVD's crowning statement applies without exception. CNC crowning is standard on PPED-5 and PPED-7 models, and only the 50 and 80 ton machines are excluded. On a three-metre bed that matters, because the ram and table bow apart in the middle under load and the angle opens there unless something compensates.
The approach speed is 90 mm/s, slow for the lighter half of the PPED range. The PPED 165/30, on the same bed, approaches at 110 mm/s. Working speed is 10 mm/s and return 95 mm/s, from a 15 kW motor and a 275 L tank. Anyone choosing between the two on throughput should note that the stronger machine is also the quicker one.
Between the uprights there are 2,600 mm (102.4 in). Stroke is 200 mm (7.9 in) and open height 500 mm (19.7 in). The backgauge is programmable in X and R, or in X, R, Z1 and Z2, depending on the version ordered.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,050 mm (120.1 in) working length at 1,350 kN
- Eligible for standard CNC crowning as a PPED-5 or PPED-7
- 250 mm (9.8 in) gap and 180 mm (7.1 in) table
- 15 kW motor, the smallest on a three-metre PPED
- Hydraulic components machined in-house from solid steel billet
Limitations
- 90 mm/s approach, slower than the 110 mm/s of the PPED 165/30
- Lowest force of the 3,050 mm PPED models
- 2,600 mm (102.4 in) between uprights for a 3,050 mm bed
- 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke limits deep box work

Frequently Asked Questions
01
It can be. LVD makes CNC crowning standard on the PPED-5 and PPED-7 versions and excludes only the 50 and 80 ton sizes. The crowning system compensates for deflection of the machine so the bend angle repeats along the length.
02
LVD names these as the three models of the product line and says they come with either a 2-axis or a 4-axis backgauge as standard. CNC crowning is standard on the PPED-5 and PPED-7. The page gives no further breakdown of the versions.
03
They share the 3,050 mm bed, 2,600 mm between uprights, 250 mm gap and 180 mm table. The PPED 165/30 has 1,650 kN, an 18 kW motor and a 110 mm/s approach. This model has 1,350 kN, 15 kW and 90 mm/s, with a 275 L tank.
04
500 mm (19.7 in) between table and ram with a 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke. Working height is 970 mm (38.2 in). LVD's table lists no option for a taller opening on the PPED; the larger PPED 260/30 has 670 mm as its standard figure.
