Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD PPEC 110/32 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

With the LVD PPEC 110/32 the PPEC series changes type. From this size the table heading reads PPEC-5, with the axes Y1-Y2-X-V-R, and the working length becomes 3,200 mm (126.0 in). Press force is 1,100 kN. LVD notes that PPEC is available only for non-CE markets.

The added V is, by the usual press brake convention, the crowning axis, and LVD lists an automatic crowning system among the features of the series. On a bed of more than three metres that is where crowning starts to earn its place.

The bed itself is a little longer than LVD's three-metre machines for CE markets. The PPEB 110/30 has 3,050 mm. Both have 2,600 mm (102.4 in) between the uprights. The throat here is 410 mm (16.1 in).

In speed the PPEC is the livelier of the two. It approaches at 200 mm/s, works at 15 mm/s and returns at 180 mm/s, where the PPEB 110/30 lists 130, 12 and 115 mm/s. Servo motor power is given as 8.7/8.5 kW, a double figure the page does not explain. Tank volume is 320 L.

Stroke is 220 mm (8.7 in), open height 460 mm (18.1 in) and table width 100 mm (3.9 in). The machine is 3,500 mm (137.8 in) long, 1,700 mm (66.9 in) wide and 2,650 mm (104.3 in) high.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 3,200 mm (126.0 in) working length at 1,100 kN
  • PPEC-5 with the axes Y1-Y2-X-V-R
  • 200 mm/s approach, against 130 mm/s on the PPEB 110/30
  • 410 mm (16.1 in) throat and 460 mm (18.1 in) open height
  • Front sheet supports included

Limitations

  • Offered only in non-CE markets
  • 1,100 kN is the lowest force of the PPEC-5 models
  • Servo motor power printed as 8.7/8.5 kW without explanation
  • Table 100 mm (3.9 in) wide

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the difference between PPEC-4 and PPEC-5?

In LVD's table headings, PPEC-4 has the axes Y1-Y2-X-R and PPEC-5 has Y1-Y2-X-V-R. The PPEC-4 covers the three smallest sizes; this model is the first PPEC-5.

02 How does it compare with the PPEB 110/30?

The PPEB 110/30 has a 3,050 mm working length and speeds of 130, 12 and 115 mm/s, and is sold in CE markets. This model has 3,200 mm and speeds of 200, 15 and 180 mm/s, for non-CE markets only.

03 What does 8.7/8.5 kW mean?

LVD's table prints the servo motor power of this size as 8.7/8.5 kW and gives no key. It may refer to two motor variants or supply frequencies; ask LVD which applies.

04 What are the outside dimensions?

3,500 mm (137.8 in) long, 1,700 mm (66.9 in) wide and 2,650 mm (104.3 in) high. No weight is published for the PPEC.
