Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Dyna-Press 40/15 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Two versions of LVD's 400 kN electric press brake exist, and the LVD Dyna-Press 40/15 is the plain one. It bends up to 1,530 mm (60.2 in) with a 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke and a four-axis backgauge. The Pro version of the same size adds a fifth backgauge axis and can take LVD's Easy-Form Laser angle-measuring system; this one cannot.
That distinction decides the purchase more than any dimension. Without Easy-Form Laser, angle accuracy rests on the ram positioning and on the operator's test bends, which is the normal way of working on a small press brake. Without the second X axis, the two backgauge fingers move together, so tapered or stepped flanges need another approach. LVD also marks robot integration and CNC crowning as unavailable here.
What the machine does offer is the Dyna-Press drive. Servomotors act on the ram through two ball screws, giving 100 mm/s approach and return and a 25 mm/s working speed, at a listed electricity consumption of 8 kW. LVD says the transition from approach to working speed is smooth and keeps power use down.
Open height is 400 mm (15.7 in) and the uprights stand 1,535 mm (60.4 in) apart, so the full working length passes between them. The left-side gap is 100 mm (3.9 in). Working height is 900 mm (35.4 in); depending on the model, LVD fits a front support table so the operator can sit or stand.
The machine is 2,500 mm (98.4 in) high, 1,205 mm (47.4 in) deep and weighs 3,750 kg (8,267 lb). Tooling is universal or W style on top and universal or LVD style below, with manual clamping, and the control is the 15-inch Touch-B.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 400 kN over 1,530 mm (60.2 in), with the full length clear between uprights 1,535 mm (60.4 in) apart
- 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke and 400 mm (15.7 in) open height, more than the Dyna-Press 24/12 offers
- Electric ball-screw drive with 8 kW electricity consumption
- Accepts universal as well as W style top tooling and LVD style bottom tooling
- Four-axis backgauge (X, R, Z1, Z2) and 15-inch Touch-B control
Limitations
- No Easy-Form Laser option; LVD reserves it for the Pro models
- Backgauge has a single X axis, where the Pro models have X1 and X2
- Robot integration and CNC crowning are marked as not available
- Manual clamping only, and a left-side gap of 100 mm (3.9 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Force, working length, stroke and speeds are the same in LVD's table. The Pro has a 5-axis backgauge with separate X1 and X2 axes, an IRIS Lazer Safe guarding system in place of the lightguard, optional pneumatic clamping, and the options of Easy-Form Laser and robot integration. The Dyna-Press 40/15 has none of these and takes universal tooling as well as W style.
02
Approach and return speeds are 100 mm/s and working speed is 25 mm/s. LVD notes that the working speed is limited to the safety norm in CE countries and depends on production. The maker's headline figure for the line is bending at up to 25 mm per second.
03
Working length is 1,530 mm (60.2 in) and the distance between uprights 1,535 mm (60.4 in). Open height between table and ram is 400 mm (15.7 in), with a 200 mm (7.9 in) stroke. The gap on the left side is 100 mm (3.9 in).
04
The machine is 2,500 mm (98.4 in) high and 1,205 mm (47.4 in) deep and weighs 3,750 kg (8,267 lb). Electricity consumption is listed at 8 kW. LVD's table gives no overall width; the distance between uprights is 1,535 mm, and the frame and control stand outside that.
05
LVD states that machine and software suit the commonly used methods: air bending, coining, hemming and bottoming. The Touch-B control positions all available axes, and the pressing force of 400 kN, which LVD also gives as 40 tons, sets the limit for coining and bottoming work.
