LVD PPEB 220/61 Plus — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD PPEB 220/61 Plus that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Six metres long with 570 mm (22.4 in) of daylight, the LVD PPEB 220/61 Plus is the largest PPEB of the 2,200 kN group. Working length is 6,100 mm (240.2 in) and weight 26,400 kg (58,201 lb).

The Plus dimensions are a 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke, a 200 mm (7.9 in) table and a table rating of 2,500 kN/m. On the PPEB 220/61 the corresponding rows read 200 mm, 120 mm and 2,000 kN/m, with 400 mm of opening.

Who needs a six-metre brake that is tall but not strong? Makers of long, deep, thin-walled sections. Roof gutters, cable trays with high sides, deep building profiles and trough conveyors are light to form, and all of them close up around the punch as the last bends are made. With 570 mm above the table they can still be released.

The working height is 1,055 mm (41.5 in), and the uprights stand 5,050 mm (198.8 in) apart.

For the same shapes in plate, LVD's table continues with the PPEB 320/61, which has this opening and stroke with 3,200 kN, a 14 mm/s working speed and a weight of 36,000 kg. The Plus is the faster machine: 21 mm/s in the bend and 200 mm/s on return, after a 120 mm/s approach. Its motor is 37 kW, with 350 L of oil at 285 bar.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 570 mm (22.4 in) of daylight on a 6,100 mm (240.2 in) bed
  • 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke releases deep thin-walled sections
  • Faster than the PPEB 320/61: 21 mm/s against 14 mm/s
  • 5,050 mm (198.8 in) between the uprights
  • 200 mm (7.9 in) table rated at 2,500 kN/m

Limitations

  • 26,400 kg (58,201 lb) for a 2,200 kN machine
  • Bed at 1,055 mm (41.5 in)
  • Force is thin over six metres
  • Foundation beyond LVD's 400 ton/4m floor-level statement

Best For

Gutters, cable trays and trough sections Deep building profiles up to 6,100 mm Long thin-walled parts that close around the punch

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How does the PPEB 220/61 Plus differ from the PPEB 220/61?

The PPEB 220/61 has a 200 mm stroke, 400 mm of open height, a 120 mm table at 2,000 kN/m and weighs 24,000 kg. The Plus has a 300 mm stroke, 570 mm, a 200 mm table at 2,500 kN/m and weighs 26,400 kg.

02 When is the PPEB 320/61 the better choice?

When the sections are in plate. The PPEB 320/61 has 3,200 kN with the same opening and stroke, but works at 14 mm/s and weighs 36,000 kg.

03 How fast does the ram return?

At 200 mm/s, with a 120 mm/s approach and a 21 mm/s working speed. On a 300 mm stroke the return speed has a visible effect on cycle time.

04 What clear width does the frame give?

5,050 mm (198.8 in) between the uprights, and a 400 mm (15.7 in) gap in the side frames for parts up to the full working length.
