Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Dyna-Press 24/12 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Dyna-Press 24/12 is the smallest model in LVD's electric Dyna-Press line: 240 kN of pressing force over a 1,250 mm (49.2 in) working length, driven by servomotors through two ball screws instead of hydraulics. LVD rounds the force to 24 tons.
It is a machine for small parts, and its dimensions say so. The whole unit is 1,090 mm (42.9 in) deep and 2,180 mm (85.8 in) tall and weighs 2,500 kg (5,511 lb). Power consumption is listed at 6 kW. The distance between the uprights is 1,195 mm (47.0 in), slightly less than the working length, and the gap on the left side is 100 mm (3.9 in), so a part wider than the space between the uprights can reach only that far into the frame.
Ram stroke is 150 mm (5.9 in) and the distance between table and ram is 350 mm (13.8 in). Both are smaller than on the Dyna-Press 40/15, which has 200 mm and 400 mm, and they limit the height of tooling and the depth of box that can be formed and removed.
Speed is the point of the electric drive. Approach and return are 100 mm/s and working speed 25 mm/s, the latter subject to the safety norm in CE countries. On short bends the ram spends most of its cycle moving rather than pressing, which is where those figures pay.
The backgauge has four axes: X, R, Z1 and Z2. Control is LVD's 15-inch Touch-B touch screen. Top tooling is universal or W style, bottom tooling universal or LVD style, clamped manually, and a lightguard provides the safety system. Three things are not available on this model at all: Easy-Form Laser angle measurement, robot integration and CNC crowning. Crowning matters little over this length; the others are the reason the Pro versions exist.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Compact: 1,090 mm (42.9 in) deep, 2,180 mm (85.8 in) high and 2,500 kg (5,511 lb)
- Electric drive through two ball screws, with 6 kW electricity consumption
- 100 mm/s approach and return speeds and 25 mm/s working speed
- 4-axis backgauge (X, R, Z1, Z2) as standard
- 15-inch Touch-B touch screen control
Limitations
- 240 kN and 1,250 mm (49.2 in) restrict it to short, light bends
- 150 mm (5.9 in) stroke and 350 mm (13.8 in) table-to-ram distance, less than the 200 mm and 400 mm of the Dyna-Press 40/15
- Easy-Form Laser, robot integration and CNC crowning are listed as not available
- Manual tool clamping only
- Left-side gap of 100 mm (3.9 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Parts up to 1,250 mm (49.2 in) long with up to 240 kN of pressing force, which LVD also expresses as 24 tons. The stroke is 150 mm (5.9 in) and the open height between table and ram is 350 mm (13.8 in). LVD's table does not translate the force into sheet thickness; that depends on material, die opening and bend length.
02
LVD's case for the Dyna-Press is energy saving, processing efficiency, accuracy and low maintenance. Two heavy-duty ball screws transmit force from the servomotors to the ram, so there are fewer components. This model is listed at 6 kW electricity consumption and bends at up to 25 mm per second.
03
The Dyna-Press 40/15 has 400 kN over 1,530 mm, a 200 mm stroke and 400 mm of open height, and weighs 3,750 kg. The Dyna-Press 24/12 has 240 kN over 1,250 mm, a 150 mm stroke and 350 mm of open height, and weighs 2,500 kg. Speeds, backgauge axes, control and tooling styles are the same on both.
04
A backgauge with X, R, Z1 and Z2 axes and LVD's 15-inch Touch-B touch screen control, which positions all available axes through a graphical, icon-driven interface. Offline programming is available through CADMAN-B bend software.
05
No. LVD's table marks Easy-Form Laser, preparation for robot integration and CNC crowning as not available on the Dyna-Press 24/12. Easy-Form Laser and the robot interface are options on the Pro models, such as the Dyna-Press 60/20 Pro.
