Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD PPEC 400/60 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Six metres of bed in the PPEC series start with the LVD PPEC 400/60: a 6,000 mm (236.2 in) working length at 4,000 kN, with 5,050 mm (198.8 in) between the uprights. The PPEC is available only for non-CE markets, as LVD notes.
No lighter PPEC is this long. The series goes from four-metre machines straight to six metres at 4,000 kN, so a buyer who wants a long bed for thin work has to take the heavy machine.
It is, in LVD's table, the PPEC 400/40 with a longer frame. Stroke is 300 mm (11.8 in), open height 570 mm (22.4 in), throat 400 mm (15.7 in) and table width 250 mm (9.8 in). The ram approaches at 100 mm/s, works at 9 mm/s and returns at 90 mm/s on a 30 kW servo motor with an 800 L tank.
The outline is 6,700 mm (263.8 in) long, 2,250 mm (88.6 in) wide and 3,910 mm (153.9 in) high.
On a six-metre bed, the features LVD lists for the whole series carry more weight than on the small models. Bed-referenced linear encoders take frame deflection out of the ram measurement. The crowning system, designed for each PPEC, compensates for the bow of ram and table. Programmable sheet followers, an option, support long heavy blanks through the bend. And for parts longer still, LVD offers the PPEC in tandem.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
5,050 mm (198.8 in). Parts up to the full 6,000 mm (236.2 in) working length reach into the side frames, where the throat is 400 mm (15.7 in) deep.
02
The PPEC 400/40 has a 4,000 mm bed, 3,150 mm between uprights and a machine length of 4,800 mm. This model has 6,000 mm, 5,050 mm and 6,700 mm. The other rows are identical.
03
LVD says PPEC press brakes can be configured in tandem to operate in synchronized fashion, or independently using separate machine controllers.
04
LVD names bed-referenced linear encoders, which remove deformation errors from ram positioning, and a crowning system designed for each PPEC that compensates for machine deflection.
