How much does the Durma PB4 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Durma PB4 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Durma's larger bending center, the PB4, folds panels up to 2,820 mm (111.0 in) long with 500 kN of bending force and 1,000 kN of holding force. Like the PB2 it is a fully servo-electric panel bender with automatic tool setup; what it adds is length and, above all, thickness.
The rated maximum is 3.2 mm in steel (UTS 410 N/mm²), 2.2 mm in stainless steel (UTS 680 N/mm²) and 4 mm in aluminium (UTS 265 N/mm²). For a panel bender those are heavy gauges. They open the machine to structural cabinet parts, door frames and heavier enclosures, which the PB2 with 320 kN does not reach.
Durma describes a main frame made of 5 independent sub-body groups, so that the holding and the bending structures do not disturb each other when they stretch under load. Both the bending blade and the holder device have servo-electric crowning. In the table, the holder's main movements come from 4 actuators and the reference pins are checked by microswitch.
The blank envelope is the same as on the smaller model: up to 3,050 mm (120.1 in) by 1,524 mm (60.0 in), at least 300 mm (11.8 in) by 150 mm (5.9 in). Minimum bending length is 300 mm (11.8 in), or 350 mm (13.8 in) when the part has re-entering bends, and a re-entering bend may be up to 50 mm (2.0 in). The first bend must be at least 4 ÷ 5 times the thickness high. Average consumption rises only slightly, to 4.5 kWh.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 500 kN bending force and 1,000 kN holding force
- Bends steel up to 3.2 mm and aluminium up to 4 mm at the stated strengths
- 2,820 mm (111.0 in) maximum bending length
- Servo-electric crowning on both the bending blade and the holder device
- Automatic tool setup and negative last bend are listed as standard
Limitations
- Stainless steel is limited to 2.2 mm at a UTS of 680 N/mm²
- Sheet width cannot exceed 1,524 mm (60.0 in)
- Minimum bending length is 300 mm (11.8 in), so small parts stay on a press brake
- Angle measurement (DAM) and the auxiliary holder and bending devices are options

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Maximum bending length is 2,820 mm (111.0 in). Bending force is 500 kN and holding force 1,000 kN. The maximum thickness is 3.2 mm for steel at UTS 410 N/mm², 2.2 mm for stainless steel at UTS 680 N/mm² and 4 mm for aluminium at UTS 265 N/mm²; the minimum is 0.4 mm.
02
Maximum bending height is 254 mm (10.0 in) and the maximum angle in one step is ±135°. Bends must be 150 mm (5.9 in) apart as standard, the minimum external radius is 1.5 ÷ 2 times the thickness, and the blank may be out of flat by no more than 10 mm (0.4 in).
03
No. The machine characteristics list servo-electric drives for the axis movements, the tool locking mechanism, both crowning systems and the manipulator clamping. Only the on-off movements are pneumatic. Durma counts 32 servo axes and gives an average consumption of 4.5 kWh.
04
Durma lists an auxiliary holder device (AHD) and auxiliary bending device (ABD) for partial and special-profile bends, an over clamp for narrow materials up to 120 mm width, a narrow part feeder for materials up to 80 mm width, and the DAM angle measurement system.
