Overview
Width or height is the usual choice among LVD's 2,200 kN machines. The LVD Easy-Form 220/42 Plus is the model that declines to choose: 3,820 mm (150.4 in) between the uprights and 570 mm (22.4 in) from table to ram, on a 4,270 mm (168.1 in) working length.
That combination is aimed at big, deep, closed parts. Think of a welded tank shell brought back for a final flange, or a deep four-sided cover close to four metres long. Such a part must pass between the side frames because it will not slide into a gap, and it needs vertical room to swing as it folds. A 300 mm (11.8 in) stroke lets the punch back out of it.
The table is 200 mm (7.9 in) wide and rated at 2,500 kN/m, so heavy short bends on a wide die are within its limits. Working height is 1,000 mm (39.4 in).
All of this weighs 18,700 kg (41,226 lb). The Easy-Form 220/42, without the Plus build, is listed at 17,000 kg with a 200 mm stroke and 400 mm of open height.
