Litz DV-700 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Litz DV-700 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Litz or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The Litz DV-700 is a light-duty vertical machining center with 700 mm (27.6 in) of X travel and 450 mm (17.7 in) of Y, and it is the one DV model that Litz offers with two Z strokes. The table lists 540 mm (21.3 in) of Z as the base figure and 410 mm (16.1 in) as the optional one, with spindle nose to table distance changing from 80 to 620 mm (3.1 to 24.4 in) to 80 to 490 mm (3.1 to 19.3 in).

Why would anyone order less Z? On flat plate work and shallow pockets the full column height is never used, so the shorter stroke is the natural pick for that kind of part. For vise work with long drills, keep the 540 mm version.

The table is 850 x 450 mm (33.5 x 17.7 in) but carries only 250 kg (551 lb). That is the lowest table load in the DV series, below even the smaller DV-600 at 350 kg (772 lb), and it rules out heavy fixtures or a loaded rotary table. Tooling is BT-40, and the changer limits tools to 250 mm (9.8 in) and 6 kg (13 lb). Tool diameter is 80 mm (3.1 in) with adjacent tools and 120 mm (4.7 in) without.

Spindle speed is 10,000 rpm from a 5.5 / 7.5 kW (7.5 / 10 HP) motor. The coolant tank is small at 130 L, so long unattended runs with flood coolant need watching. Control is the Mitsubishi M80; FANUC 0i-MD and Siemens 828D are options.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Z stroke can be chosen: 540 mm (21.3 in) or an optional 410 mm (16.1 in)
  • 850 x 450 mm (33.5 x 17.7 in) table on a machine that weighs 4,200 kg (9,259 lb)
  • Spindle nose comes down to 80 mm (3.1 in) above the table, useful for short tools on thin parts
  • 36 / 36 / 24 m/min (1,417 / 1,417 / 945 ipm) rapids on a 15 kVA supply

Limitations

  • 250 kg (551 lb) table load is the lowest in the DV series
  • Coolant tank holds only 130 L
  • Tools are limited to 6 kg (13 lb) and 250 mm (9.8 in) in length
  • BT-40 shank, where the DV-800 is listed with BBT-40
06

Best For

Light plate and cover parts up to 700 x 450 mm Aluminium housings and small fixtures under 250 kg (551 lb) Shallow work where the optional 410 mm Z stroke is enough

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What Z travel does the Litz DV-700 have?

Litz lists 540 mm (21.3 in) of Z travel with 410 mm (16.1 in) as an optional stroke. With the 540 mm stroke the spindle nose sits 80 to 620 mm (3.1 to 24.4 in) above the table; with the optional stroke the range is 80 to 490 mm (3.1 to 19.3 in).

02 How much weight can the DV-700 table carry?

The 850 x 450 mm (33.5 x 17.7 in) table is rated for 250 kg (551 lb). Add up the vise, fixture plate and part before quoting a job, because this limit is reached much sooner than on the DV-800, whose table takes 500 kg (1,102 lb).

03 What tooling does the DV-700 use?

The spindle takes BT-40 tooling and the arm-type changer holds 24 tools. Maximum tool diameter is 80 mm (3.1 in) with adjacent tools and 120 mm (4.7 in) without, maximum length 250 mm (9.8 in) and maximum weight 6 kg (13 lb).

04 Which controls can the DV-700 be ordered with?

The Mitsubishi M80 is the control named in the specification table and marked standard in the accessory list. FANUC 0i-MD and Siemens 828D appear there as options, together with linear scales and roller type linear guideways on the three axes.
