The Makino V99 (50 Taper) is the heavy-duty variant of Makino's flagship large-capacity vertical machining center, built for die and mold manufacturers who prioritize maximum rigidity and torque for aggressive roughing operations in large workpieces. Where the 40-taper version balances speed and rigidity for finishing, the 50T leans hard into metal removal capability.

Axis travel remains the same as the 40T at 1,000 x 800 x 500 mm (39.4 x 31.5 x 19.7 in) on X/Y/Z, and the 1,100 x 800 mm (43.3 x 31.5 in) worktable still handles up to 2,000 kg (4,409 lb).
