How much does the Hartford MVP-10 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford MVP-10 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Four motor sizes on one small machine: that is the unusual line in the Hartford MVP-10 table. The spindle drive motor row starts at 5.5 / 7.5 kW and lists 7.5 / 11 kW, 11 / 15 kW and 15 / 18.5 kW as options (Cont. / 30 min), all for a #40 vertical machining center with 1,050 mm (41.3 in) of X travel.
That spread lets one platform serve two kinds of shop. With the small motor and the 20,000 rpm DDS spindle it is a finishing machine for moulds, electrodes and aluminium. With 15 / 18.5 kW and the pulley spindle at 8,000 / 10,000 / 12,000 rpm it becomes a general steel-cutting machine. Hartford does not publish which motor may be combined with which spindle, so that pairing has to be settled with the maker.
Y travel is 530 mm (20.9 in) and Z is 630 mm (24.8 in). The 1,150 x 560 mm (45.3 x 22.0 in) table has five T-slots and takes 700 kg (1,543 lb). The arm-type magazine holds 24 tools, with 30 as the alternative, and the minimum tool change time is 1.38 secs.
All MVP machines run on linear guideways with a Z axis that has no counterweight and servo motors coupled directly to the ballscrews. Hartford claims 30% higher rigidity for the oversize column and wide base, and gives a 2-year warranty without operation hours limit for the oil-air lubricated spindle.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Spindle motor options from 5.5 / 7.5 kW to 15 / 18.5 kW (Cont. / 30 min)
- DDS spindle speeds of 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 / 20,000 rpm
- 2-year spindle warranty without operation hours limit with oil-air lubrication, as stated by Hartford
- 1,050 mm (41.3 in) X travel with 630 mm (24.8 in) of Z
- Tool shank alternatives include HSK A63 as well as BBT, CAT and DIN
Limitations
- Table load is 700 kg (1,543 lb), which limits use of the larger motors on heavy steel blocks
- Y travel is 530 mm (20.9 in); the MVP-11 has 600 mm (23.6 in)
- A #50 spindle is not offered at this size
- Rapid traverse rates and spindle torque are not published

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table lists 5.5 / 7.5 kW as the base rating and 7.5 / 11 kW, 11 / 15 kW and 15 / 18.5 kW as options, each as a continuous / 30 min pair. The page does not state the torque of any of them.
02
The table measures 1,150 x 560 mm (45.3 x 22.0 in) with T-slots listed as 18 x 100 (5) mm. The average load rating is 700 kg (1,543 lb). Travels are 1,050 mm (41.3 in), 530 mm (20.9 in) and 630 mm (24.8 in) in X, Y and Z.
03
Linear guideways. Hartford lists the MVP as a linear guide way vertical machining center and says the guideways provide high accuracy and stability for heavy cutting. The Z axis works without a counterweight.
04
The page states a 2-year warranty without operation hours limit per spindle with oil-air lubrication. Conditions and regional terms are not given on the product page, so they should be checked with the seller.
