Vision Wide MF-3026 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide MF-3026 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Two of the three axes on the Vision Wide MF-3026 are driven directly. Vision Wide describes a direct-driven device on the Y-Z axis transmission, with big servo motors, and says it ensures the best accuracy and acceleration.

Y and Z are the axes that carry the cutter, as opposed to the part. The saddle and head are lighter than a loaded table, and a motor coupled straight to the screw moves them without the lag and lash of a belt or gearbox. That gives quick, exact reversals, which is what a milled contour or a rigid-tapped hole needs. The table axis, heavier and slower, is geared instead.

On this model the Y axis has more to do. Y travel is 2,600 mm (102.4 in), where the MF-3000 has 2,300 mm (90.6 in), over the same 3,200×2,050 mm (126.0×80.7 in) table. The extra stroke takes the head beyond the table edges, for a head attachment or simply for loading room.

X travel is 3,200 mm (126.0 in) and table load 11,000 kg (24,250 lb). All three axes rapid at 12 m/min. The spindle is a 4,000 rpm gear type with 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), and Z travel is 920 mm, or 1,020 mm.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Direct-driven Y and Z axes with large servo motors
  • 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y travel over a 2,050 mm (80.7 in) wide table
  • 11,000 kg (24,250 lb) table load
  • 12 m/min rapids on all three axes

Limitations

  • No acceleration figure supports the drive claim
  • Table is no larger than on the MF-3000
  • Cutting feed of 1-7,000 mm/min

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How are the Y and Z axes driven on the Vision Wide MF-3026?

By a direct-driven device on the Y-Z axis transmission with big servo motors. Vision Wide says this ensures the best accuracy and acceleration; no figures are given.

02 How does the MF-3026 differ from the MF-3000?

In Y travel: 2,600 mm (102.4 in) on the MF-3026 and 2,300 mm (90.6 in) on the MF-3000. The table, the 11,000 kg (24,250 lb) load, the spindle and the rapids are the same.

03 What are the MF-3026 travels?

X 3,200 mm (126.0 in), Y 2,600 mm (102.4 in) and Z 920/1,020 mm (36.2/40.2 in)(Opt.), the longer Z being optional.

04 Which machining center matches the MF-3026?

The VF-3026, which has the same travels, the same 3,200×2,050 mm (126.0×80.7 in) table and the same 11,000 kg (24,250 lb) load in its specification table.
