Jainnher JHP-3510CNC

The Jainnher JHP-3510CNC stretches Jainnher's 350 mm (13.8 in) swing plunge grinder to 1,000 mm (39.4 in) between centers. Table travel becomes 1,100 mm (43.3 in), and the fully enclosed machine weighs 8,080 kg (17,813 lb).

A metre between centers changes the work. On the JHP-3506CNC most jobs are single plunges. On this machine the typical part is a shaft with several diameters, ground by a sequence of plunges with table moves between them, or by plunge and traverse combined. Jainnher lists those cycles by name: multi-plunge grinding, traverse grinding, multi-plunge taper grinding and shoulder grinding with or without oscillation. Programs are entered through form type input screens.

Slender shafts bend under the wheel, and the job weight is still 150 kg (331 lb). Jainnher's options include 2-point and 3-point steady rests, which a long part will need. The table swivel range is narrower on this bed than on the shorter one, printed as +7 and -4 against +9 and -5 on the JHP-3506CNC, so steep tapers are better done another way.

The grinding end is unchanged. The wheel is Ø510 x 50 ~ 100 x Ø203.2 at 1,250 rpm, on a hydrodynamic or hydrostatic spindle, with a 7.5 HP (5.6 kW) motor. Work table and wheel head are each driven by a 1.8 kW (2.4 hp) servo motor, with a setting unit of 0.0001 mm.
