Overview
The Jainnher JHU-3515CNC is a CNC universal cylindrical grinder for parts up to 1,500 mm (59.1 in) long and 330 mm (13.0 in) in grinding diameter, on a 350 mm (13.8 in) swing. Weight between centers is 130 kg (287 lb).
On a bed this long, holding one size from end to end is the hard part, and it is mostly a measuring problem. Jainnher supplies two measuring aids as standard on the CNC models and sells four more.
Standard are the X-axis linear scale, which closes the loop on wheel position, and a touch probe gauge of type T18 / PR3, which finds a shoulder or face so that lengths are referenced to the part. Optional are an auto in-process gauge that tracks the diameter during the cut, a thickness measuring gauge, a Z-axis linear scale for the long axis and an automatic wheel balancing system. A wheel crash control device is also listed. For a long shaft ground by traverse, the in-process gauge and the Z-axis scale are the two that change results most, because wheel wear over a long pass otherwise shows up as taper.
Mechanically the machine follows its series. The table swivels 7° counter-clockwise and 4° clockwise, the second servo is 2.5 kW (3.4 hp), and a 2-point center rest is included. Approximate length is 6,400 mm (252.0 in) and approximate gross weight 7,500 kg (16,534 lb).
