How much does the Jainnher JHV-1008CNC cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Jainnher JHV-1008CNC that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Jainnher JHV-1008CNC is the taller of Jainnher's two CNC vertical grinding machines, built for workpieces up to 800 mm (31.5 in) high and 1,000 mm (39.4 in) in diameter. Z travel is 1,700 mm (66.9 in) and the distance from table to spindle is 1,800 mm (70.9 in). The JHV-1006CNC shares the diameters and the table but stops at a height of 600 mm (23.6 in).
Height is hard on a grinder's geometry, because any deflection of the column shows up as taper in a long bore. Jainnher's answer is in the structure. The frame is a C-type design that the maker says was chosen to keep the X and Z axes straight under gravity and to reduce the load on Z. The X axis runs on a slant guideway, which also drains coolant quickly. Under the workpiece, the table has a horizontal adjustment for correcting cylindricity deviation.
Bore depth depends on bore size. From Ø 250 to Ø 800 the full 800 mm (31.5 in) can be ground. From Ø 50 to Ø 250 the figure is 325 mm (12.8 in), since a slim quill cannot reach deep without bending. Wheels of 45 to 305 mm (1.8 to 12.0 in) mount on an HSK100A spindle that runs from 1,500 to 12,000 rpm, up to a peripheral speed of 32 m/s.
The rotary table is hydrostatic, carries 1,600 kg (3,527 lb) and turns at 10 to 240 rpm on a 7 kW (9.4 hp) motor. Six wheel quills wait in an umbrella-type magazine. With a Fanuc controller, 0.0001 mm setting units and a rotary wheel dressing attachment on the standard list, the remaining questions are about the building: the machine stands 5,500 mm (216.5 in) high and weighs 25,000 kg (55,115 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Grinds parts up to 800 mm (31.5 in) high, with 1,700 mm (66.9 in) of vertical travel
- C-type frame and slant X guideway, which Jainnher credits for X and Z straightness
- Peripheral wheel speed up to 32 m/s from a 1,500 to 12,000 rpm HSK100A spindle
- Rotary type wheel dressing attachment, linear scale and oil mist device are standard accessories
- Work table has a horizontal adjustment for correcting cylindricity deviation
Limitations
- Only 325 mm (12.8 in) of grinding height for bores from Ø 50 to Ø 250
- Overall height of 5,500 mm (216.5 in) rules out many existing bays
- Table load stays at 1,600 kg (3,527 lb), the same as the JHV-1006CNC, despite the taller envelope
- Magnetic separator with paper filter, extended spindle and fixtures are optional accessories

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Jainnher gives a maximum installed part height of 800 mm (31.5 in), the same as the maximum O.D. grinding height. The distance from the table to the spindle is 1,800 mm (70.9 in) and the Z axis travels 1,700 mm (66.9 in), which leaves room for the fixture and for the wheel to clear the part during a wheel change.
02
It depends on the bore diameter. Jainnher's table gives 800 mm (31.5 in) for bores from Ø 250 to Ø 800 and 325 mm (12.8 in) for bores from Ø 50 to Ø 250. An extended spindle is on the optional accessories list; ask the maker what reach it adds.
03
For part height. The JHV-1006CNC has a 600 mm (23.6 in) grinding height and 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of Z travel. If nothing in the plan is taller than that, the JHV-1006CNC is 5,000 mm (196.9 in) high instead of 5,500 mm (216.5 in), which can decide whether it fits the building.
04
Jainnher's standard list includes the Fanuc controller, the hydrostatic rotary table, coolant tank and pump, splash guard, linear guideways, automatic lubrication, the tool magazine, a ladder, an oil mist device, a rotary type wheel dressing attachment and a linear scale. Wheels and quills are not included with the magazine.
