HNK HPM-40M (40x100) — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK HPM-40M (40x100) that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The HNK HPM-40M (40x100) is the largest five-face machine in the HPM-M series, with a 4,000 x 10,000 mm (157.5 x 393.7 in) table, 10,250 mm (403.5 in) of X travel and a 60,000 kg (132,275 lb) rating.

Three HNK machines are built on this table. The die and mold HPM-40H (40x100) carries 35,000 kg (77,160 lb). The HPM-40L (40x100) carries 80,000 kg (176,367 lb) and has 4,000 mm (157.5 in) under its spindle. The HPM-40M (40x100) stands between the two, and its strength is the stated five-face purpose combined with a mid-weight structure.

What would fill it? Wind-turbine bedplates and hubs, large diesel engine frames, press bolsters, and the base structures of other machine tools. Parts like these have machined faces on several sides and long bolting surfaces that must be flat over metres.

Y travel is 6,000 mm (236.2 in) between columns 5,000 mm (196.9 in) apart. The crossrail travels 2,800 mm (110.2 in); the 400 x 400 mm (15.7 x 15.7 in) ram travels 1,000 mm (39.4 in), 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in braces. Spindle: Ø130 mm (5.1 in), ISO No.50, with 22/26, 30/37 or 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp), cont/30min.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How big is the HPM-40M (40x100)?

The table is 4,000 x 10,000 mm (157.5 x 393.7 in) and X travel is 10,250 mm (403.5 in). Y travel is 6,000 mm (236.2 in) and the effective distance between columns 5,000 mm (196.9 in).

02 When is the HPM-40L (40x100) the better choice?

When weight or height exceeds the M. The HPM-40L (40x100) takes 80,000 kg (176,367 lb), offers 4,000 mm (157.5 in) from table to spindle end and a Ø160 mm (6.3 in) spindle, but runs at 1,000 rpm.

03 What limits the HPM-40M (40x100)?

Mainly the head. A Ø130 mm (5.1 in), ISO No.50 spindle with at most 37/45 kW (49.6/60.3 hp) is the same specification listed for the HPM-15M, so metal removal rate does not scale with the table.

04 What is the ram stroke of the HPM-40M (40x100)?

1,000 mm (39.4 in), with 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in braces. The ram section is 400 x 400 mm (15.7 x 15.7 in), and the crossrail adds 2,800 mm (110.2 in) of W travel.
