Overview
The HNK HPM-30M (30x60) is where HNK's five-face series moves to its larger head. The ram becomes 400 x 400 mm (15.7 x 15.7 in), and Z travel goes to 1,000 mm (39.4 in), with 1,200 mm (47.2 in) in braces.
A longer, stiffer ram matters more on a five-face machine than on a plain bridge mill. When an angle attachment hangs below the ram to cut a side wall, every millimetre of overhang multiplies deflection, so section size is what keeps side faces flat. The crossrail does its share as well, with 2,500 mm (98.4 in) of W travel to bring the head down beside the work.
The table measures 3,000 x 6,000 mm (118.1 x 236.2 in) and takes 40,000 kg (88,183 lb). Columns stand 4,000 mm (157.5 in) apart. X is 6,250 mm (246.1 in) and Y 5,000 mm (196.9 in).
