HNK HFM 10X20 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK HFM 10X20 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The HNK HFM 10X20 is the smallest of HNK's 5-axis high-speed milling machines: a 1,000 x 2,000 mm (39.4 x 78.7 in) table under a universal head, with an HSK63-A spindle listed at 16,000 rpm and 30,000 rpm in braces.

Travels are 2,700 mm (106.3 in) in X on the table, 1,100 mm (43.3 in) across in Y and 550 mm (21.7 in) vertically in Z. The X figure is longer than the table itself, which fits HNK's remark that the series works with a pallet system: the table has to run clear of the head before a pallet can be exchanged. Height is the tight dimension. With 500 mm (19.7 in) from table surface to spindle nose, this is a machine for plates, ribs and shallow pockets, not deep cavities.

HNK aims the series at aircraft, electronic and automobile parts and fits an automatic universal head for work on several surfaces. The C-axis turns ±200˚. The A-axis cell for this size is not printed cleanly in the maker's table, and no table load, spindle power or tool magazine is listed, so those points have to be settled with HNK.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • HSK63-A spindle at 16,000 rpm, with 30,000 rpm in braces
  • X travel of 2,700 mm (106.3 in) on a table 2,000 mm (78.7 in) long
  • Automatic universal head with a C-axis range of ±200˚

Limitations

  • Only 500 mm (19.7 in) between table surface and spindle nose
  • Y travel of 1,100 mm (43.3 in) is the narrowest of the HFM sizes
  • No table load, spindle power or tool capacity in the published table

Best For

Aluminium aircraft ribs and brackets up to 2,000 mm (78.7 in) long Electronic housings and plates needing several faces cut Flat structural parts well under 500 mm (19.7 in) tall

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How fast is the spindle on the HFM 10X20?

The table gives 16,000 rpm, with 30,000 rpm in braces, on an HSK63-A nose taper. HNK does not explain the braces on its page, so ask which of the two speeds a quoted machine carries. Spindle power is not listed for any HFM size.

02 What size of part fits the HFM 10X20?

The table is 1,000 x 2,000 mm (39.4 x 78.7 in), with travels of 2,700 mm (106.3 in) in X, 1,100 mm (43.3 in) in Y and 550 mm (21.7 in) in Z. The distance from table surface to spindle nose is 500 mm (19.7 in), which caps the height of part and fixture together.

03 How does the HFM 10X20 differ from the HFM 10X30?

Only in length. The HFM 10X30 has a 1,000 x 3,000 mm (39.4 x 118.1 in) table and 3,700 mm (145.7 in) of X travel. Y, Z, the spindle and the 500 mm (19.7 in) nose-to-table distance are the same on both.
