How much does the Hartford Aero-432B cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford Aero-432B that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hartford Aero-432B has 4,000 mm (157.5 in) of X travel and 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y over a table of 4,000 x 2,700 mm (157.5 x 106.3 in). It is the four-metre entry to Hartford's Aero gantry type 5-faced machining centers.
Hartford also builds four-metre five-face machines with a moving table, and the comparison shows what the gantry is for. The HSA-428EAY carries 18,000 kg (39,683 lb) in total on a 4,000 x 2,500 mm (157.5 x 98.4 in) table. The Aero-432B is rated at 5,000 kg/m², so a part that covers a good share of its table may weigh far more, and the axes do not have to move it.
Head handling follows the pattern of the series: an automatic exchange head cabin combined with a vertical and horizontal tool change system, heads kept behind doors that open only for a changeover, and extra head magazines on request.
The spec table lists a #50 gear head at 6,000 rpm (8,000 rpm optional), 1,000 mm of Z travel with 1,200 mm optional, and two magazine types: S for 30 tools, or 40, and A for 40 tools, or 60. An i-Tech hybrid spindle at 10,000 rpm is offered as an option.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 5,000 kg/m² table rating; the workpiece does not ride on the axes
- 4,000 x 2,700 mm (157.5 x 106.3 in) table with 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y travel
- Head cabin combined with vertical and horizontal tool change
- Magazines from 30 to 60 tools in S and A types
Limitations
- Narrowest of the four-metre Aero tables; the Aero-436B is 3,100 mm (122.0 in) wide
- The 10,000 rpm hybrid spindle is an option, not the base equipment
- Standard Z travel is 1,000 mm
