Overview
The Hedelius TILTENTA 9-2600 is the shortest machine of the TILTENTA 9 series, a travelling column machining centre with a swivelling main spindle and travel paths of 2,600 x 900 x 900 mm (102.4 x 35.4 x 35.4 in). An NC rotary table with a Ø 900 mm face plate can be integrated into the fixed machine table, which makes it a 5-axis machine with four axes in the tool and one in the workpiece.
Compared with the TILTENTA 7 below it, this series adds Y and Z travel and a wider choice of spindles. Five are shown on the product page: SK 40 / BT 40 at 14,000 rpm with 117 Nm and 22 kW or with 185 Nm and 37 kW, and HSK A63 at 15,000 rpm with 217 Nm and 50 kW, at 18,000 rpm with 136 Nm and 35 kW, or at 24,000 rpm with 123 Nm and 30 kW. The spindle swivels from -5° to +98°, or from -98° to +98°.
The fixed table has a contact surface of 3,080 x 900 mm and takes up to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb). For the rotary table the page gives 1,200 / 1,800 kg, and Hedelius explains the higher figure: an integrated heavy-duty rotary table with a table load of up to 1800 kg is optional. The collision area diameter is Ø 1,250 mm. The enclosure is complete, yet Hedelius states that unrestricted crane loading is possible.
On the control side, a Heidenhain TNC with touch display, full keyboard and rapid motion potentiometer is standard, and a Sinumerik ONE is available as an option. The magazine holds 60 tools as standard, with capacities up to 324 listed. Hedelius links no data sheet for this series on the product page, so weight, feed force and tool limits have to be requested.
