Overview

Accuway's U-25 is a 5-axis vertical machining center with a Ø250 mm (Ø9.8 in) table and a BT40 direct-drive spindle. It takes a workpiece up to Ø250 x 220 mm (Ø9.8 x 8.7 in) and 60 kg (132 lb), and moves 500 mm (19.7 in) in X, 400 mm (15.7 in) in Y and 550 mm (21.7 in) in Z.

Unlike the UM-350 and UM-500, which tilt about an A axis, this machine names its tilting axis B. B-axis travel is -30/+120 degrees and the C axis rotates 360 degrees. The rotary speeds are high for the class: 40 rpm for the tilt and 62.5 rpm for the rotation, so indexing between faces takes little time.

The spindle is listed at 12,000 rpm with 15,000 rpm in brackets, and spindle speed upgrading is an option. Motor power is 7.5/11 kW (10.1/14.8 hp), continuous and 30 min.
