Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford LG-1570 NEO that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
With 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of X travel, the Hartford LG-1570 NEO is the longer of the two NEO vertical machining centers. Y travel is 700 mm (27.6 in), Z is 650 mm (25.6 in), and the table is 1,600 x 700 mm (63.0 x 27.6 in).
A long, fairly deep table on a 40-taper machine raises one question first: how much weight? Hartford rates the table for an average load of 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). That figure does not grow with the extra length over the LG-1370 NEO, so the LG-1570 NEO is a machine for long parts and rows of fixtures, not for heavier ones.
Spindle choices follow the rest of the LG family. There is a pulley spindle at 8,000 / 10,000 / 12,000 rpm and a DDS spindle at 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm, each on a #40 nose with BT40 shanks. The drive motor is 11 / 15 kW, with a 15 / 18.5 kW option. The changer is an arm type with 24 pockets, or 30 or 40.
Hartford's own notes on the NEO stress rigidity where a long X axis needs it: an enlarged contact area between column and base for X/Y stiffness, and a tool magazine that rests on a seated locking mechanism instead of hanging its weight on the column. The Z-axis feed is direct-driven by a large motor and runs without a counterbalance. Coolant through the spindle comes as a compact modular unit.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,500 mm (59.1 in) X travel over a 1,600 x 700 mm (63.0 x 27.6 in) table
- Enlarged column-to-base contact area for X/Y axis rigidity, as described by Hartford
- Up to 40 tools in the arm-type magazine (24 standard, 30 or 40 listed)
- Optional 15 / 18.5 kW spindle motor (Cont. / 30 min)
- Compact modular coolant-through-spindle unit that does not increase the footprint
Limitations
- Table load of 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) is low for a 1,600 mm long table when the workpiece is steel
- Z travel of 650 mm (25.6 in) is no greater than on the LG-1370 NEO
- #40 spindle only, with a top listed speed of 15,000 rpm
- No rapid traverse or feed figures on the product page

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The average load rating is 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) on a 1,600 x 700 mm (63.0 x 27.6 in) table. Fixtures and vises count toward that figure, so check the total before planning steel plates that cover the whole table.
02
Hartford lists 8,000 / 10,000 / 12,000 rpm with the pulley spindle and 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm with the DDS direct-drive spindle. Both use a #40 nose. The motor is 11 / 15 kW, optionally 15 / 18.5 kW, quoted as continuous / 30 min ratings.
03
Hartford describes a compact CTS (Coolant Through Spindle) modular design for the NEO that takes up no extra floor space and is easy to reach for maintenance. The page does not give its pressure or state whether it is standard, so confirm that in the quotation.

The LG-2100 is the next step up in the LG family: 2,050 mm (80.7 in) of X, 1,020 mm (40.2 in) of Y and a table rated for 2,500 kg (5,511 lb). It is the choice once parts outgrow the 700 mm (27.6 in) Y travel or the 1,000 kg (2,205 lb) table of the LG-1570 NEO.
