How much does the Hartford LG-2100 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford LG-2100 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
At 2,050 mm (80.7 in) of X travel, the Hartford LG-2100 is the long-bed machine of the LG linear-guideway line and its only model with more than a metre of Y: 1,020 mm (40.2 in). Z travel is 820 mm (32.3 in). The spindle nose is still #40.
That combination is the point of the machine. A 2,150 x 1,020 mm (84.6 x 40.2 in) table with seven T-slots and a 2,500 kg (5,511 lb) average load takes plates, weldments and long extrusions that would otherwise go to a double-column machine, yet the spindle options are the fast ones of the smaller LG models: 8,000 / 10,000 / 12,000 rpm by pulley or 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm with the DDS head. The motor row is the largest in the line at 15 / 18.5 kW (Cont. / 30 min), and the arm-type magazine holds 40 tools.
Hartford wrote a separate structural description for this size. The Z-axis runs on a Ø55 six-block arrangement, four blocks upper and two lower, to spread the load on the column. Its servo motor drives the ballscrew directly, and an optical scale sits close to the ballscrew to keep Abbe error down. URH linear guideways reinforce the saddle.
Chip handling gets the same attention. A central four-auger evacuation system with flow guidance on both sides feeds a rear coolant tank, which Hartford says suits high material removal applications and makes maintenance easier.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 2,050 x 1,020 x 820 mm travels (80.7 x 40.2 x 32.3 in) on a single-column linear-guide machine
- Table of 2,150 x 1,020 mm (84.6 x 40.2 in) rated for 2,500 kg (5,511 lb)
- 40-tool arm-type magazine listed for this model
- Spindle motor row of 15 / 18.5 kW (Cont. / 30 min), the largest of the LG models
- Optical scale close to the Z ballscrew and a Ø55 six-block Z-axis guide arrangement
- Central four-auger chip evacuation with a rear coolant tank
Limitations
- The spindle nose is #40 only; a table this large may tempt users into cuts that want a #50 spindle
- Top speed with the pulley head is 12,000 rpm and with the DDS head 15,000 rpm; no built-in motor spindle is listed
- A 2,500 kg (5,511 lb) table load is modest for a 2,150 mm long table if the part is solid steel
- Rapid traverse, machine weight and footprint are not published on the product page

Frequently Asked Questions
01
2,150 x 1,020 mm (84.6 x 40.2 in), with T-slots listed as 20 x 150 (7) mm and an average load rating of 2,500 kg (5,511 lb). Travels are 2,050 mm (80.7 in) in X, 1,020 mm (40.2 in) in Y and 820 mm (32.3 in) in Z.
02
A #40 spindle with BT40 shanks; BBT, CAT and DIN are listed as alternatives. Speeds are 8,000 / 10,000 / 12,000 rpm for the pulley version and 10,000 / 12,000 / 15,000 rpm for the DDS version. The spindle drive motor is listed as 15 / 18.5 kW (Cont. / 30 min).
03
Hartford describes a Z-axis with a Ø55 six-block configuration (four upper, two lower) to reduce deformation of the column, an optical scale placed close to the ballscrew, and URH linear guideways on the saddle that it says last up to 30% longer than conventional RG series guideways.
04
It has a central four-auger chip evacuation system with dual-side flow guidance, paired with a rear coolant tank. Hartford presents the design as suited to high material removal work, with better separation of chips and coolant and easier maintenance.
05
Within the LG NEO models, the LG-1570 NEO has 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of X travel, 700 mm (27.6 in) of Y and a 1,600 x 700 mm (63.0 x 27.6 in) table rated for 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). The LG-2100 is longer, but its main gain is the 1,020 mm (40.2 in) Y travel.
