Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford HSA-3212 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hartford HSA-3212 is a long, narrow double-column machining center: 3,250 mm (128.0 in) of X travel over a 3,000 x 1,100 mm (118.1 x 43.3 in) table, with 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of Y and 780 mm (30.7 in) of Z.
Think of the parts that are three metres long and under a metre wide. Linear-guide rails and their mounting beds, extrusion dies, long mould inserts, aluminium profiles for machinery and vehicles. For these a wide bridge is wasted, and the HSA-3212 keeps the cross-beam short. A short beam is a stiff beam, and Hartford casts it in one piece with the columns.
Table load is 4,500 kg (9,921 lb). The #40 version has a DDS spindle at 10,000 rpm, with 15,000 rpm optional, and a 7.5 / 11 kW motor. The #50 version has a gear head at 6,000 rpm, with 8,000 rpm optional, and a 15 / 18.5 kW motor with 22 / 26 kW as the option.
The arm-type magazine holds 24 tools as listed. Options are 32 for #40 and 32 or 40 for #50. Shanks are BT-40 or BT-50 with the usual alternatives, including HSK-A63 on the #40 side. Hartford states that its self-made spindle has deflection within 5μm.

3,000 x 1,100 mm (118.1 x 43.3 in), with an average load of 4,500 kg (9,921 lb). X travel is 3,250 mm (128.0 in), so the spindle can run past both ends of the table.
02
Y travel is 1,200 mm (47.2 in) and Z travel is 780 mm (30.7 in). Neither row lists an option on this model, unlike the larger HSA machines.
03
7.5 / 11 kW for the #40 spindle; 15 / 18.5 kW for the #50 spindle, with 22 / 26 kW optional. These are continuous / 30 min ratings.

When parts are wider or heavier. The HSA-316 has a 3,000 x 1,400 mm (118.1 x 55.1 in) table rated for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) and a #40 spindle option up to 20,000 rpm.
