Overview
The Han's Laser MPS-8025D is the largest model in the MPS-D table, a gantry laser cutting machine with an 8,000 × 2,500 mm (315.0 × 98.4 in) processing area. Its worktable is rated for 4,000 kg (8,818 lb) and the machine itself weighs approx. 9.5 T.
Eight metres is an unusual length, and it suits a particular kind of work: one-piece side panels, long beams and frames that would otherwise be cut in two and welded. It also lets a shop keep a long job on one end of the bed and short sheets on the other.
How does it relate to the rest of the series? The width matches the MPS-6025D, and the table load rises from that machine's 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) roughly in step with the added length.
