Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Han's Laser W3015D that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Han's Laser W3015D is a 3D five-axis laser cutting machine for hot-formed automotive parts, the smallest of the three W series sizes. Instead of cutting flat sheet it trims and pierces pressed parts such as pillars and door beams after forming, when the steel is too hard to be punched economically. Its working envelope is 3,000 mm (118.1 in) in X, 1,500 mm (59.1 in) in Y and 650 mm (25.6 in) in Z.
The head does the work that the part's shape demands. The C axis rotates without limit, n × 360 degree, and the A axis tilts ±135 degree, so the beam can stay square to a surface as it runs up a wall and over a flange. Both rotary axes position at up to 90 r/min. Rotary accuracy is ±0.015 degree with ±0.005 degree repeat positioning.
Linear axes move at up to 100 m/min with 10 m/s² of acceleration. Positioning accuracy in X, Y and Z is ±0.04 mm and repeat positioning ±0.03 mm. Fixtures and parts ride on a dual-station rotary exchange worktable: the operator unloads and loads on one side while the machine cuts on the other, and the maker gives a single rotation cycle of ≤2.5s.
The table load is 350 kg (772 lb) at most, fixture included, which is the lowest table load in the series. The machine is fully enclosed and weighs 12,000 kg (26,455 lb). Its footprint, 7,000 × 8,000 × 3,700 mm (275.6 × 315.0 × 145.7 in), is wider than it is long because of the rotating table. Laser power is not given in the data sheet.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Unlimited C-axis rotation (n × 360 degree) with ±135 degree of A-axis tilt
- Dual-station rotary exchange worktable with a single rotation cycle of ≤2.5s
- Linear axes position at 100 m/min with 10 m/s² acceleration
- Fully enclosed housing with dual grating safety protection and interlock safety doors
Limitations
- Maximum table load is 350 kg (772 lb), against 450 kg (992 lb) on the W3122D
- Y travel of 1,500 mm (59.1 in) limits the width of the fixture
- No laser power is published for the series
- Designed for hot-formed part trimming, not for flat sheet nesting

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Han's Laser says the W series is specially designed for laser cutting of hot-formed parts in the automotive industry. It is a gantry machine with a movable beam and a 3D five-axis cutting head, and it works on formed parts held in fixtures on a rotary exchange worktable.
02
X travel is 3,000 mm (118.1 in), Y travel 1,500 mm (59.1 in) and Z travel 650 mm (25.6 in). The C axis rotates n × 360 degree and the A axis ±135 degree.
03
X/Y/Z positioning accuracy is ±0.04 mm and repeat positioning accuracy ±0.03 mm. For the C and A axes the figures are ±0.015 degree and ±0.005 degree. The rotary exchange table is described with a positioning accuracy of ≤±15 arcsec.
04
Overall dimensions are 7,000 × 8,000 × 3,700 mm (275.6 × 315.0 × 145.7 in) and the machine weighs 12,000 kg (26,455 lb). The 3,700 mm height should be checked against crane hook clearance in the building.
