We do not have a price for the Ganesh GEN TURN CW52MY that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The GEN TURN CW52MY is the twin-turret version of Expand Machinery's 52 mm turning center: two built-in 5,000 rpm spindles facing each other, a 12-station BMT 44 turret for each, and a Y axis on both turrets. The maker counts 8 axes. Because each spindle has its own turret, front and back operations run at the same time instead of taking turns.
Unlike the GEN TURN C52 MYS, the two spindles are equals. Each is rated 12 HP (9.0 kW) on the 30-minute rating, has an A2-6 nose, a 2.36 in (60 mm) through hole and 2.04 in (52 mm) of bar capacity, so bar can be fed from either end or a full-diameter part passed to the sub-spindle. Maximum swing is 14.76 in (375 mm). Chucking diameter is 8 in (203 mm) on the main spindle and 6 in on the sub-spindle, and 6 in Kitagawa chucks are supplied for both.
Both turrets travel 6.693 in (170 mm) in X, 12.598 in (320 mm) in Z and 2.362 in (60 mm) in Y, ±30 mm off center. Y rapids at 315 ipm (8 m/min); X, Z and B at 787 ipm (20 m/min). Driven tools reach 6,000 rpm on a 1.34 HP (1.0 kW) motor, a light milling drive, and the turrets are indexed by servo motor in 1 second.
Setup aids are part of the package: a Marposs tool probe for each turret, a parts catcher with conveyor, and dual high-pressure coolant pumps at 135 psi. The coolant tank holds 80 gallons (300 liters). At 10,584 lb (4,800 kg) and 40 kVA it remains a mid-size machine. The GEN TURN CW52MY GII is the same layout with a 3 kg gantry loader built in.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Two 12-station BMT 44 turrets, each with a full Y axis, cut on both spindles at once
- Matched spindles: 12 HP (9.0 kW), 5,000 rpm and 2.04 in (52 mm) bar capacity on both
- Marposs tool probe for each turret
- Dual 135 psi high-pressure coolant pumps and an 80 gallon (300 liter) tank
- 6 in Kitagawa chucks supplied for main and sub-spindle
Limitations
- Driven tool power is 1.34 HP (1.0 kW)
- Y travel is 2.362 in (60 mm), ±30 mm off center
- Z travel of 12.598 in (320 mm) per turret limits part length
- Sub-spindle chucking diameter is 6 in, against 8 in (203 mm) on the main spindle

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Each spindle has its own 12-station turret with X, Z and Y travel, so the main spindle can machine the front of one part while the sub-spindle finishes the back of the previous one. Travels for both turrets are 6.693 in (170 mm) in X, 12.598 in (320 mm) in Z and 2.362 in (60 mm) in Y.
02
Nearly. Both are built-in motor spindles at 5,000 rpm and 12 HP (9.0 kW) on the 30-minute rating, with A2-6 noses, 2.04 in (52 mm) bar capacity and a 2.36 in (60 mm) through hole. Maximum chucking diameter is 8 in (203 mm) on the main spindle and 6 in on the sub-spindle.
03
All 12 stations of each turret are driven. Driven tool speed is 6,000 rpm, higher with speeder tools, and driven tool power is 1.34 HP (1.0 kW). That suits drilling, tapping and light milling on bar-sized parts.
04
The feature list names a Marposs tool probe for each turret, 6 in Kitagawa chucks for both spindles, a parts catcher with conveyor and dual 135 psi high-pressure coolant pumps.
05
The machine weighs 10,584 lb (4,800 kg). It needs 220 V ±5% at 40 kVA, 3-phase, and air at 0.4 - 0.5 MPa with 150 L/min. Coolant capacity is 80 gallons (300 liters).
